Guest guest
Hello Jane and thanks for your reply. No I am not nor have I ever taken any types of herbs or anti depressants. Mike On Behalf Of Jane MacRoss Sunday, June 11, 2006 9:29 AM ayurveda Re: <ayurveda> RE: Bells Palsy While many anti-depressants make hormones go out of whack and increase tendencies for obesity, some work the other way too. Although you lost this much weight through diet and exercise, is it possible that you may be taking this herb or equivalent? Could you please clarify if this is the situation? I have looked at all of the Dosha information and assessed myself a Pita/Kapha. Here's my problem, About 8 months ago I awoke in the morning and noticed that the left side of my face was completely dead. I had feeling but no movement. I went to the local Dr. and he said I had Bells Palsy, He ordered a brain scan which came back fine. I have since recovered but not 100% I still can't whistle or totally close my left eye or > raise my left eyebrow. Guest guest
ayurveda, "drhsrai" <drhsrai wrote: >Hello Dr. H.S. Rai, Pleased to you know that i am a part of a e-group ,which is engaged in serious ayurvedic disscussions. I would like to highlight though bell's palsy clinically presents the symptom of Ardita we need to analyse the pathogenesis or samprapti of his present state. We known that Nidana ardhakaratwam plays a important role in many of the disease . If analyse his clinical symptoms we could observe that ringing sound in the ears is also mentioned in the vattic grahni and pandu . I hope you would appriciate that vata vyadhi is state of body not only a single disease and is a result of some chronic pathogenesis. we see that history of such patients gives us the clear idea about such patient show the bacground of grahni, pandu, prameha etc. And during this We find that event the present condition suggest vatavyadhi nature while suggesting treatment we have to give a medicine we also caters to the need of background disease. If you go through vata vyadhi chikitsa we se that it is not just basti or just a vata hara chikitsa . Ksheera dhoomam which we prescribe in arditam is not just vata hara but it alsom see's that not to aggravate pitta . Hope you find some logic behind my explanation.
