Turquoise and Glass beads

Dear Barbara,

 

I know you didn't ask me, but here's my two cents:Turquoise stones represent the planet Venus in Jyotish astrology. They are not as powerful as quartz crystal (which also represents Venus). The only way I know to tell if a stone is real (really important with citrine, which is often dyed or heat-treated quartz or amethyst) is to find someone who is sensitive to energy and have them handle the stones. Glass or heat-treated or irradiated stones carry no energy; you might as well wear plastic. Everyone has some sensitivity to energy but there are those, especially someone who is very clear (enlightened), who can tell which stones are best and which are real; same with rudrakshas. The good ones carry a very gentle, sweet energy which just makes you want to wear them all the time. I get the impression that clear stones are more powerful than opaque ones (emeralds vz. jade, for Mercury, for example).

Dear Sindhuma,

 

Thank you for your answer. The small stone in question is one which I think is turquoise because it has inclusions, but my daughter, who makes jewelery as a hobby, says that she thinks that it is dyed howlite. I have tried bleaching it, but no dye comes out.

 

I will try to keep in mind your answer regarding energy.
