Dear Prabhu / Maharaj,

Please accept my humble obeisances.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada and to his centennial celebration.

As all of you might have known that in the year of 1996 HARE KRISHNA WORLD

CONVENTION will take place at Sri Mayapur during Mayapur festival. We expect

thousands of devotees from all over the world will participate in this

festival. Along with many other interesting program , the H.K.W.C. executive

committee has included an Expo of UNITED NATION FOR THE SPIRITUAL WORLD or

HARE KRISHNA WORLD EXPO as one of the most important program of Mayapur

festival 1996.

This Expo will have different kinds of exhibition from every country of

the world where ever ISKCON has its preaching center, exhibiting about

the progress of preaching in their respective countries . Each country

will have their won exhibition pavilion. These pavilions will have the

exhibition of Pictures of preaching activities , temples , chart of

statistics , video show , multi media show etc., The detail list of

things which will go in side the Expo area are given separately . Of

course we would like devotees to suggest if they have any other good

idea to add to this Expo.

Purpose :

Mainly this Expo has four different purposes such as :

i) Srila Prabhupada always would insist to have the progress report.

This exhibition will be the offering of our world wide progress report

to Srila Prabhupada during his Centennial year at Sri Mayapur festival.

ii) As thousands of devotees and congregational members will be gathered

from all over the world, this is a good opportunity for us to let the

devotees know what are we doing for spreading Krishna consciousness in

our countries. All the devotees also will have the clear idea about the

achievements of our movement and they will also enjoy to see the Expo.

Iii) We hope if proper propagation will be done , about our world Expo

where people can meet the devotees of eighty to hundred country devotees,

then thousands of people will come to see this exhibition. This will be a

very good opportunity to show the people what ISKCON has achieved.

Iv) If our Expo can be set up nice sophisticated way, we may invite the

embassy or consulate general of each country for the inauguration . In this

way Srila Prabhupada will be recognized by all the countries and it will be

very good for our public relation with

Bengal and India government

According to the addresses published in BTG ,ISKCON has its preaching

activities in about eight five different countries . There should be at

least eight five pavilions or exhibition space , small or big whatever

it may be according to the quantity of the exhibition materials of the

respective countries. At each pavilion at least one devotee of that country

must be present at the reception in order to give information to the

visitors and also they will like to see the people from all around the

world . Of course those countries who will have more things to exhibit

because of more preaching activities are going on and more temples are

opened , will have to put more devotees .

At present we have the following ideas to put in this Expo. We always

welcome more ideas from the devotees and congregational devotees to add

in order to make this Expo more attractive and fruit full.

1. All the pavilions will be put in a row. At the entrance of each pavilion

there will be a reception counter where a devotee of the respective country

will greet the visitors.

2. Next will be the exhibition of a map of the country pointing the location

of ISKCON temple or restaurant or farm or school or hospital etc. (By pins

with colored knob or better by small electric bulbs.

3. Next will be the exhibition of pictures on the 4’x12 panel boards. Photo

size should be minimum 6” x10”. As big as the pictures will look more nice.

A list for different pictures is supplied to you on a separate paper.

4. Next exhibition will the statistics of ISKCON in bold capital letter

printed by laser printer and posted on the Panel.

5. History of the development of preaching of Krishna consciousness.

6. Display of books of Srila Prabhupada printed in your country (in regional

language)

Books ,Magazines, and pamphlets any kinds of publications including the

publication of BBT or ISKCON devotees authorized books published by Srila

Prabhupada disciples

7. Next exhibition will consists of some of the things which have hardly

any thing to do with Krishna consciousness but still we would like to

include this exhibition to attract publics and students as they will take

it as educative. Though this exhibition will have nothing much with Krishna

consciousness still the presentation of cultural back ground of different

country will be appropriate in a world Expo as some countries’ cultural back

ground may be related to Vedic civilization. The list of the things is

supplied to you on an other paper .

8. Video show - A small room capacity of holding ten to fifteen people will

be provided to those country who have things to show to the visitors through

video tapes.

9. Audio visual show

10. Display of Padayatra activities in your country by pictures and figures

etc.

11. Centennial achievements of your country.

12. Nama Hatta preaching program display

13.Different paraphernalia sales booth.

12. Booth to sale Typical food of your country offered to Lord.

13. Pen pal booth will give facility to the visitors to take address of

the temple and leave their address for friendship to develop spiritual

relationship.

14. Question and answer booth.

15. Booth for suggestions and for visitors to receive (if there is any )

free pamphlets or gifts.

16. Comments of important people of your country about ISKCON and Srila

Prabhupada.

17. News clippings of different ISKCON activities in your country.

18.

These are the few items initially we have thought to put in the Expo Of

course we like to welcome any other idea to make the exhibition more

worthy and attractive.

As time is very short to put up such an International exhibition we like

to request all the devotees to start to prepare their exhibition etc. and

communicate with us as soon as possible.

This Hare Krishna world Expo will need lot of man power for planning ,

designing and setting up. We welcome any devotee or congregational member

of ISKCON having the technical and artistic back ground or devotees with

expertise on computer. They will get free accommodation and prasad at

Mayapur including Mayapur festival. They will have to come to Mayapur at

least one month before GBC meeting starts. Or if any one wants to come and

join with us more earlier , may contact with us.

We request all the devotees to make their exhibits as sophisticated as

possible to make the Expo an international standard.

A list of things in detail is given separately on another paper. Please

go through the list and contact with me as soon as possible. I will be in

Europe up to 27th June. Please send me the message by COM or Fax to Zurich

ISKCON temple ( attention Bhakti purusottama Swami ) . They will communicate

the message to me. From July first week onwards I can be contacted at Mayapur

by COM or Fax no. (03472 45238 or tel. No 45234 , 45275.
