Guest guest Report post Posted July 15, 1999 What a great essay. Thanks for posting it. Its a long shot but does the author have any idea of how the stoves are made? Over the years I have experimented with a variety of wood fired ovens and old can stoves. I liked the description about the external venting, and about how they are used to fire clay. I am about to move to a wilderness area and really need to setup an efficient wood stove for cooking and heating. Here on this island there are no stove manufacturers so I am going to have to make something out of brick, or clay with mild steel parts made localy. Thank you very much for posting it.
