Is vanilla ice-cream Ekadasi-compatible?

And I think he may very well have a point, if one wants to be 100% perfect

about one's abstinence from grains and beans. The carob and vanilla "beans"

themselves are OK, but they may have been mixed with grains during the

grinding process, like hing.

 

In my opinion, if one is _so much_ concerned about such things, then the

best thing is to simply fast on ekadasi. Others may not agree.
