Guest guest
Dear Ishwar, Sorry to disappoint you but this is the most commonly available fake Ekamukhi. A lot of Rudrakshas have only one seed. The 14 Mukhi doesn't contain 14 seeds. Having one seed is not the criteria to judge an Ekamukhi. It should have one line. This is an oval Dehradun variety 2 Mukhi. A large piece is carefully cut up to delete one line so that only one line shows. That is why it will have a lot of sharp projections. Examine it under a lens and you can see the cut marks. The x-ray is cleverly taken in such a fashion that both the lines are at the side and do not show. I have one such fake in my possession to show people what a fake is. It costs appx Rs.450/- in Delhi. If you want a dozen it'll be cheaper. Guest guest
Dear Ishwar, The One Mukhi bead you have shown with X-Ray proof is not a Rudraksha of Nepal origin from the species Elaeocarpus angustifolius or( = E. sphaericus and E. ganitrus ) but in fact 'Oval Ek Mukhi'. The Oval Ek Mukhi is popularly known as 'Hardwar Ek Mukhi' or 'Deharadun Ek Mukhi'. Ornamentation (rough surface) and shape of Round Nepal Rudraksha and of this type are totally different from each other if you observe it carefully and critically. This type of Ek Mukhi is a mophological variation of a different Elaeocarpus species producing 'Oval Three Mukhi' as a rule. In case of 'Oval Theee Mukhi' , if you cut the bead you can see only one seed with one locule, in addition to which there are two scars of locules which did not develop. You can check this by cutting oval three mukhi bead, you will see only one locule and a single seed. In case of Javanese Ek Mukhi being a very small or tiny all such external and internal characters go unnoticed. It is also very difficult to diffentiate between fake Javanese Ek Mukhi and a genuine Javanese Ek Mukhi due to its smaller size and poor ornamentation. The Javanese Ek Mukhi is also in fact of oval type but of Indonesian origin. The rudraksha species grown in Indonesian region show smaller beads with inconspicuous ornamentation of smooth spines though species is the same. The Javanese Ek Mukhi is very small and therefore the oval character and the Cost of genuine 'Haridwar Ek Mukhi' and of 'Javanese Ek Mukhi' is not more than Rs. 5000/- in Indian market. In these types also there are large no. of fake beads are floating in the market which are made either by sealing two clefts or mukhis or by cutting the cleft (Mukhi) wall very skillfully. In another morphological variation of this type of bead, it shows only one well developed cleft or mukhi with two additional hair lines running lengthwise in place of supposed to be two other natural clefts which are not developed. You can study these characters more critically with hand lens and viewing from the top and bottom of the bead. In case of Javanese Ek Mukhi being very small, all these characters (internal and external) go unnoticed. The genuine 'Oval Ek Mukhi' are however available very rarely which do not show even the presence of two such hair lines running lengthwise in place of two supposed to be clefts. Many people also believe that 'Haridwar Oval Ek Mukhi' and 'Javanese Ek Mukhi' do not exist and all such beads available in the market are fake. However, I have a different opinion that genuine ' Haridwar Oval Ek Mukhi' and 'Javanese Ek Mukhi' does exist but very very rarely I hope, you have not paid heavy amount for this bead. Guest guest
Dear Ishwar & all, The oval ekamukhi, Known as Dehradun/Haridwar Ekamukhi exists. Picture of a real one is attached. But this one you bought is a cutup fake. Even in the picture the cut marks are clear. These are made by cutting up larger oval 3 mukhis or oval 2 mukhis. This one is a cut up of an oval 2 mukhi from the shape of it. Guest guest
Hi all! X-rays doesnt provide anything concrete and before buying only after depending on x-rays, alok jagawat ji had provided x-rays of their dakshinavarti and i can say with gurantee that its 100% whelk, Ishwar ji had provided x-ray proffs and its also 100% fake, mostly all 3 mukhis and 2 mukhis have single sead and if as per u a single mukhi has single sead, then an 21 mukhi must have 21 seads...haha....looks like a joke. A nepali ek mukhi is very rare....the one u have showed is 3 mukhi bead which is skillfully crafted into ek mukhi. Amit uniyal Terms of Service. Guest guest
Ishwarji, What is your position in this world? Have you become a topper? or atleast saw any signs of prosperity in spiritual and earthly field? That would have been the effect of real 1 mukhi if you really had one(according to puranas, what the rudraksha sellers say). You wouldnt have stayed where you are still. I think you have really found the cut marks through the magnifying lens. see you. good wishes. Terms of Service.
