For a successful married life the rule should be judiciously used. I agree with you point.I too read in some tamil literatures that rasi of bride and groom being in samasapthama will reduce many doshas.But i read that samasaptama should not be matched if the lords of the rasi are sani and soorya. What is your opinion on this ? Also I have read that for 'dual rasis' it is good to match with 8th rasi. Is this correct? If anybody knows about this plz share your views. Guest guest Report post Posted July 12, 2005 Respected Astrologers, Thanks for your response on this topic i have a couple of horoscopes here with same lagna: In the grooms chart: Lagna is Leo and has Satrun and looks is his own house(7th house,Kumbha ) moon is at 11th house(midhun) with Jupitar In the Brides chart: Lagna is again Leo, moon in 5th house(dhanush), does these sets have sama saptama?. Hence I said “For a successful married life the rule should be judiciously used”. While administering Samasupthama principle, first of all find out whether the ‘thina’porutham is available (Thina porutham is considered as secondary to ‘manas’ porutham and primary to rest of all other poruthams) when ‘Thina’porutham is available but Ganam, Rasi, Rajju and Vedha are not available, under such circumstances the Astrologer could consider to apply the above referred rule subject to the Kaala Desa Vardhamaana. Copies of Kaalavedhanam (Translated by Revered Prof.C.G.Rajan can be heard from the Publishers M/S.Giri Trading Co. Sannathi St. Triplicane. With regards, D.SathiyanarayanaGupta.
