Guest guest
|| Hare Rama Krishna || Dear Kartik, Namaskar. Why are you equating Neecha with Combustion ?? Combustion is a physical phenomenon and can happen in any sign and in any house. Neecha of a planet happens in a particular sign and more specifically around a particular degree in that sign. It is independant of the planet's closeness to the Sun. Similarly, exaltation is independant of the planet's close to the Sun. Hence, there is no neecha-bhanga for being exltd. in D-9. What exlt. sign in the D-9 shows that the fortune associated to that planet is high. Combustion in D-1 means that the planet's effects are curtailed or overshadowed under the powerful rays of the Sun, the king of the planetary system. Hence, if Sun permits and wishes, the effects of the planet will be given by the Sun itself. Retrograde planet shows that a strong desire to do or possess something is associated with the planet and such a desire comes from the past life. This strong desire makes the planet powerful in giving its significances. This is also called Chesta Bala. Because desire is strongly associated to that planet, the seventh sign from it (showing desire) shows particular emphasis. If a planet is debilitated, the seventh sign from it is its sign of exaltation. Hence it is said that from the desire and power or (strength) point of view, the retrograde and debilitated planet gives result 'akin to' (but not really equal to) being in exaltation. Hope this helps, Sourav ========================================================== vedic astrology, "amoebabhu" <amoebabhu> wrote: > > Dear Respected Members, > I had a question on NBRY: > Fact : Planet debilitated in rasi chart and exalted in navamsa gives > NBRY (there are other causes for NBRY but I am particularly interested > in this one). > Query : What about a combust planet in the rasi chart but exalted in > navamsa? Guest guest
Dear SuryaViswanadham and Sourav, Thanks for your replies. I agree with both of you regarding the difference between combustion and debilitation. My question though might be rephrased as "doesnt the fact that a combust planet in D1 which is exalted in navamsa indicate that the combust planet gives its (good) results despite its closeness to sun and may not be rendered ineffective?"(I shouldnt have mentioned NBRY as an example). But I guess I got the answer for this question too from your mails! Thanks for the clarification on the retrogression effect. Guest guest
As Respected Sir saurav ji has cleared you the difference between these five terms. You think for a while following facts- 1- exalation 2- debiliation 3- combustion 4- neech bhanga 5- retrogression. You will get your answer. ok, i take an example if you are a planet and go near sun you become cumbust(burning) this is a physical phenonemia as described by Mr. saurav ji. Now you feel good in a place in another place like a planet feel good at its exalation sign so this is difference. these two stages hv no connection. While you can say that if a planet is feeling nice being exalted in a sign and he is dbilited in another sign, in this condition we can compare two things while in prvious case there is physical thing which can happened also in its sign of exalation too................ So combution is a physical thing while other factors are related to rashis......................... I am beginner and following to learned members....... Hope you can understand Richa amoebabhu <amoebabhu > wrote: Dear Respected Members, I had a question on NBRY:Fact : Planet debilitated in rasi chart and exalted in navamsa gives NBRY (there are other causes for NBRY but I am particularly interested in this one).Query : What about a combust planet in the rasi chart but exalted in navamsa? Guest guest
Om Namo Bhagawate Vasudevay Dear Richa and Kartik, Namaste. Combustion is not only a physical phenomenon. If you visualise looking at a planet from earth, when nearing Sun, it looses its shine as it approaches Sun. Beyond a limit, its radiation is masked by Sun's radiation and it becomes invisible. When a planet is away from Sun, it reflects the Sun-light and shines. When it is too far away, it gets too little Sun-light to reflect. So there is an optimum distance from Sun, measured in terms of Nakshatras or Rashis in Vedic or Hindu Astrology. The optimal points are described by Uchchha and Neecha. For understanding the effects, the allegorical stories or explanations have been formed to fit in and make it easy to remember the effects of such conditions of planets. Same is the case of Puranas and allegorical stories there - which are basically explaining those aspects of Veads which are considered suitable for common knowledge, in a much simpler version for common understanding. vedic astrology, Richa Gupta <richas_lucky> wrote: > Dear Kartik I am learner of Astrology and hv a very little knowledge.
