For example, Mars in Scorpio in the 7th and Venus in Libra in the 6th, are both in marana karaka sthana. Will they fail to protect the significations of their own house? Maran karak means 'death inflictor'. The dasha/antar of such graha hurt the native as per nature of graha, e.g.; Moon in 8th produces danger from water or fear of lunacy, Sun in 12th danger from fire or official punishment etc. On the other hand, any planet in its own house always protects it and amplifies its effect. Planet in MKS in its own sign do inflicts but in a mild way. So Venus in 6th (MKS) in own sign is good for matters of 6th house, ceteris paribus. That is good job, loyal servants, availbility of good health facilities, foeless etc. But karakas of Venus (marriage, spouse, conveyance, sense of aesthtic etc) somewhat remains under adverse effect ulness fortified by other factors. I know a elderly person who has Leo Lagna, Jupiter in 3rd & Moon in 8th hence both palnet in MARAN KARAK Sthana. I am writing you because both the planets are in MK & their period is going on. Guest guest Posted April 3, 2005 Report Share Posted April 3, 2005 Saumya Ray je, Pranama, Badhaka (obstructing or oppressing sign) and Badeheska (obstructor planet) generally restrict the lagna (or the relevant for which they are badhaka) to attain conterned significance. For cardinal signs, matters of 11th houses, for fixed sings matters of 9th house, and for dual signs matters of 7th house are not easy nut to crack. For example dual sign natives may face barriers regarding spousal relation, stable partnership, trade, business trip etc. When badhakesh goes to any bhava, the obstruction manifests in that form. For example if badhakesh is in 3rd house then one may confront troubles in communication, documentation, he may suffer on account of coborn or neighbours, provided other factors tend to do so. Any planet becomes badhakesh on account of certain lordship. They do become stronger or weaker obstructor on account of own/exal/deb. signs, but not due to be in MKS. Badhaeksh have nothing to do with MKS. Though some exerpts may hold here that this situation weaken the badhakesh to obsruct. But grahas if placed in their MKS just mar/spoil/feeble the karakas they stand for. If the concern planet is natural benefic then realization will happen in mild/gentel/peaceful way while if its natural malefic then in harsh/quarrelsome/conflictig way.
