Guest guest
Dear Venkat, Your question regarding starting and ending of Sade sati is not a trivial question. Let me give a general answer. Saturn takes 30 years to go around the Zodiac i.e. 2.5 years per sign. 'Sade sati' means 7.5 years. So, it represents, Saturn's transit through 3 signs. Mainly this is taken from Moon. Saturn's transit through 12th, 1st & 2nd sign from Moon is reckoned as Sade sati. This is also seen with reference to Lagna & AL. Results are given in standard texts. Also, read Svoboda's 'The Greatness of Saturn'. We may take this as just one indication and get on with our lives! In the past 6 months, remedies have been discussed on the list. regards viswanadhamvenkatarama_sastry <venkatarama_sastry > wrote: Dear Vishwanathamji,Sorry, this may be a stupid question. I hear Sade Sati all the time, but I am not exactly sure what this is! Is this Shani Mahardasa for the native (but the dasa's more than 7 and a half years)? How do you calculate the starting and ending dates? All I know is that this is the time that Shani unleashes its worst, and the native learns/ grows through the hard lessons. I searched through the archives as you suggested, but failed to find much basic information. The Files section does not have any either. Sorry for such a basic question.
