Dear Learned members and Gurus,

Last week I happened to visit Sh. Siva Prasad Tata at his

residence who is on the panel of "Astrospeak" (Indiatimes)

and is advertised as one of the relatives of "Mr. K.N.

Rao".

While discussing on astrology we came to a point where he

asked who is your guru and about the astrology group etc.

When I told him that I am an astrological Shishya of Sh.

Chandrashekhar Sharma ji who is the Shishya of Sh. Sanjay

Rath ji then he made a very strange face and told me that I

should refine my astrology skills from someone else rather

than esteemed Sh. Chandrashekhar Sharma ji since he is a

Shishya of Sh. Sanjay Rath. I was cool during this whole

discussion but hinted that such hatred wont do any good to

astrology or students of astrology like us.

I personally feel that such people may be world known in

one way or another but they degrade themselves by such

actions of hatred.

I feel very proud that I belong to an international vedic

astrology group which believes in personal freedom of

thought with a strong group guidance and commitment to come

out with some stunning revelations.

I would also like to thank you all the learned members and

gurus for their kind guidance because of which my comments

on Mercury’s ill effects got printed in August’03 issue of

“the astrological magazine” wherein I justified the cause

of the proliferation of SARS and its ill effects on

communication. The prediction which came out correctly in

this was that the problem will be sorted out when Mercury

enters Gemini (Note: I thank Shri Chandrashekhar ji for his

kind guidance on using the specific country charts for

making a prediction. I am taking this into account but

right now my PC is down at home since last two months or so

and I am not able to fulfil my promise of giving advice to

a few people since I can’t do much from office.

I have very strong belief in our tradition and culture of

guru-shishya and also believe that we all have an eye for

discrimination between true and false, right and wrong and

wise and learned are those who do not throw stones on

others even if they do.

Dear Prakash,

It is good that you take pains to visit different astrologers to further

your knowledge.

Just to put record straight, I did not study astrology under Sanjay Rathji.

I learnt from My Father and various Astrological texts. I have, also, had

frutiful discussions with Sanjayji about various aspects of Astrology.

Sanjayji has good knowledge of Jaimini Sutras and Divisional Chart

interpretations besides various Dasha systems and is an Astrological

scholar.

It is indeed sad that Shri Shivaprasad Tata has formed a negative opinion

about Sanjayji without, probably, meeting him or interacting with him.

It is good if astrologers remember that there are many different methods of

predictions and not everybody is a master in all of them.

Chandrashekhar.

Thanks for sharing your experience, although I am no one to write on this, but

just wanted to voice my opinion here maybe my Mars acting up, if Sh.Tata didnt

have nice words for Sanjayji then it just means that he is having hatred and

Ego in ones self. Wonder why these astrologers call astrology a spiritual

science when the first thing in spirituality as they say is to get rid of ego

and hatred etc.

Maybe Astrology might finally lead to that point, I dont know, hope it does if

astrology needs to have a better acceptance in this world.

On another note could you pls forward that article of yours which appeared in

the astrological magazine to my personal mail, would be very kind of you, if it

is not possible no worries I do understand that you have difficulty accessing

mails. It is good to know that you are the shisya of the humble

Chandrashekharji.

Best wishes

Dear Sunil,

You are correctly said.In this context,I would like to reproduce here what

Prashna Marga says about characters of an Astrologer ( Daivajna Lakshana ):

JyaeitZZyaôivdGxae gi[tpqu> ìuÄvaMí sTyvca,

jyotiççyästravidagdho gaëitapaöuù vruttavämçca satyavacä|

ivnyI vedaXyaiynI ¢hyjnpquí Évtu dEvJn>.

vinayé vedädhyäyiné grahayajanapaöuçca bhavatu daivajnaù

Meaning an Astrologer should be fully versed in Jyotishya Shastra,an expert in

Mathematics used to calculate planetary positions and other matters connected

to Jyotish,GOOD MANNERED,TELLS ALWAYS TRUTH,SOFTSPOKEN ,learned in Vedas and

knows how to perform Nava Graha Poojas.

Prashna Marga further says only such a Learned Astrologer's prediction can not go wrong.

I am not going to explain further as it is clearly meantioned in the above Shloka.

I hope this helps.
