Dear Ajith,

1. Clarify, are you referring to Parivartana or Vargottama?

2 As per the given texts, no.

3. The Bhava Chalit chakra is drawn for a very different purpose than the

jataka. Look here: http://srath.com/lesson/bhava_lagna.htm

BV Raman and some other authors have however advocated the use of this chakra,

with the natal chart for readings.

[vedic astrology] Parivartana, retrograde aspects

Der memebers & gurus.Would appreciate if someone advice me on the following.1.If

planets appear in the same signs in Rasi lagan and navamsa lagna wouldit be

considered as parivartna ? Or is the rule applicable to houses only ?2. Would a

retragrade planet aspect in the opposite direction like Rahu ?3. If planets in

rasi chart differ from the bhava chalita chart , (+/- 15degrees from cusp)

which should one accord importance too?Thanking in advaceK. AjithArchives:

Dear Ajit,

there appears to be some confusion in what you have asked. If a planet is in

same sign in rasi and Navamsa, it is called a Vargottam Planet. Rasi chart

being single chart its being similarly placed does not seem possible as you

should have two chart for the planet to occupy identical signs in both charts.

Retrograde planets do not aspect in opposite direction. You are probably trying

to apply Jaimini principles of counting Apasavya when a planet is in an even

sign.

Bhava chalita system came in to vedic astrology , probably from other sources. I

think you should give prime importance to Natal Chart.Other might have different

views.

Nope. And this isn't applicable to houses either. Though you haven't been

lucid enough, something tells me you're searching for "vargottama".

Parivartana is a downright swap between two lords, e.g. Me in Ta and Ve in

Ge.

I'll give you an answer that not many here will agree with. No retrograde

planet aspects in the opposite direction. In fact, no planet moves backwards

(hear the harrumphs?), but only appear to do so, relative to earth's

own motion. Otoh, Ra actually looks the other way. Which is also why he's

capable of aspecting the 12th house from himself.

The bhava chalita chart is a Sripathi paddhati signature, and is something

that's assigned not much importance in this group. I suggest you ignore it

while here.

Hello Rampriya:

I read you as stating "Rahu is capable of aspecting 12th from itself

because it is truly retrograde." Are you pulling our legs or are you

serious. If you're serious, please explain your statement. Thanks.
