What do you think about worship to Grahas & Demigods (I mean for devote, who ask some advise from astrologer). We have a Sharanagati principles and how such worship (to Grahas & Demigods) can be don by devote? In the Vedic system of yajna, the worship of Ganesha, Panca-devata, Navagraha, and Sodasa Matrka was compulsory. However the Vedic Vidhi is no more effective in Kali yuga, so all those Pandits who attempt to perform Navagraha Homa etc. should first prove their eligibility to perform this by lighting the fire with a mantra, and not with matches. Otherwise as per Narada Muni's instruection, in this age the Pancaratrika/vidhi should be followed. The process for this is described in Padma Puraan. The worship of Devatas for a Vaishnava should be replaced by the worship of the Avataaras and devotees of the Lord. Maharishis Parashara also lists the Avataaras for the 9 planets and Lagn, so they may be worshipped in the form of a Murthi, Chitram (picture), Yantram or Salagrama-sila.
