Guest guest
Dear Visti and List, The mysterious Lal Kitab (which is written by an anonymous Hindu sage) has a wide variety of astrological and ancient palmistry combinations apart from remedies (uppay). I have a 6 decade old edition of Lal Kitab(in Urdu), discussing astrology, palmistry, samudrik shastara, omen readings and physiogonomy. Why people say its a compilation of tammasik remedial measures whereas remedies is the fractional part of Lal Kitab? Bepin Behari defines Tamas as the primeval darkness, the state of ultimate dissolution and a form of intertia. If we assume that remedies suggest Lal Kitab, is of Tamas attribute then what about other matters (grah and bhav phal, yogas, palmistry-lines+mounts combinations, and other knowledge revealing lal-kitab) How astrological combinations can become Tamasik? and how their application generate tamas guna in our lives. Hope learned member would put light on this regard. Regards M.Imran ---------- Vyam Vyaasadevaaya Namah Dear Katti, Palmistry is an excellent tool for errecting charts, and the lines have strong importance of timing events. One just has to learn it from the right source, and thats where we go wrong with all these authors. The thumb holds alot of significance. RG Rao has done a highly respected work on this, and LR Chaudhry has done an exaustive study of errecting charts using the palm. As for Lal kitab, theres more than one of such floating around, which doesn't have tamasic remedies. Best wishes, Visti. - Katti Narahari vedic astrology Tuesday, September 24, 2002 6:45 PM Re: [vedic astrology] Palmistry vs Horoscope Om Gurave Namah Dear Imran, I have little or no knowledge of palmisrty but the fact remains that the proportion of mounts is a subjective thing. What i may feel that the mount of jupiter is prominent could be not true for someone else and more so that prominent mount could just be because of the work the proson does. Am sure the palm of a hard labourer will always have a strong mount of venus!!!!!.. Even otherwise, the is no possible way to get the strength of planets from palmistry. Timing is another issue with palmsitry. As far as LAL KITAB goes, people in this list know that it has remedies (?) that are tamasic in nature... so dont go there... My two cents this.
