JAYA JAGANNATHA!

Dear Jyotisha,

Namaste.

Ketu is in own sign and in natural exaltation in Scorpio. Own sign because

Ketu is the higher note of Mars Ölike infrared to red color). Natural

exaltation because Scorpio is the 8th house of natural horoscope, so is

connected with life after death, of which Ketu may give knowledge. So this

is exaltation for logevity. Thus Ketu becomes naturally debilitated in

Taurus (for longevity and health matters). For other issues like dharma, the

functional exaltation should be taken which is Sagittarius (9th house of

natural horoscope). Thus Ketu is functionally debilitated in Gemini. So

functional exaltation-debilitation is for phalita, while natural is for ayus

matters. For Rahu the opposite signs hold true.

Therefore in general Ketu is considered good in the 9th house, and in this

case he will still be good, although for ayus matters he is not the best,

especially for younger brothers, as he becomes a Maraka from the 3rd house.

So watch out for health problems in their lives during this period.

Yours,

Dear Gauranga Das,

I have Ke in 9 House (Saggittarius) with Budha and Gu in 12 House (Pisces). One

Jyotisha said me that this position can give Moksha in this life (in BuKe or

SaGu Dasa). Is it correct?

The best wishes,

Youry

Dear Shailesh Ji,

The source is ,hold your breath-Lal Kitab.I know Paramgurudeva doesn't want us

to get involved with Lal Kitab but then I quote Page 12 ,1st line of

COVA,"Using these books for astrology or predictive purpose is one thing and

prescribing remedies is another."

Now my father has this combination, and out of the four brothers (I am the

eldest)I am the one with interest in Astrology even though we are not a family

with much vedic cultural background. I am sure on this list with about 250

members it can easily be verified if there is some truth in this statement.

Dear Jagmeet,

I really apreciate your understanding me in letter & spirit. Jyotish is one

thing, in fact I also read books of Alan leo and whatever i can lay my hands on.

I cannot say that I have learnt nothing, but it is true that in the matter of

remedies, only satwa must prevail.

Dear Jagmeet,

Why I asked this question was because I, and also my wife, have this KE placed in 9th.

But neither of my parent's chart has this placement.

That is why I was wondering.

Thanks for the info & best wishes,

Shailesh

Dear Shaliesh ji,This means your child will be an astrologer or will have much

more than a passing interest in Astrology. With regrades,Jagmeet

P.S.:-Friends can we do a rough survey about how many of our list members

parents(either or together)have Ketu in 9th house. I will compile all the

answers to this message and post it to the list. Hopefully some of us will get

interested in studying our parents horoscope to better understand them and

ourselves.

Dear Jagmeet,

Can you confirm this - I think Sanjay ji had also asked you this - Lal Kitab

does not consider Lagna. It's placements are based on Aries as lagna in all

cases.

Can you confirm this,

Thanks & best wishes,

Dear Raj,

What I had quoted was that a person with Ketu in 9th will have a child who will

be intrested in astrology. So chances are that your friend will have a child who

will have inclination towards astrology.

Dear Jagmeet,

You quote an interesting rule. However I can give you an

example of a slight variation. My father has Ketu in the fifth house

and I have had a more than passing interest in Vedic Astrology since

I was 18.I am also the eldest child.

Are there any reference to such variations?
