Dear Friends,

 

 

I want help of all the astrologers in this group to resolve a very mysterious

case which I am currently dealing with. This case I can clearly mention as one

of the most baffling cases I have ever tackled in my long astrological career.

The native is a girl who is otherwise normal and has completed her education.

But she has severe Obsessive Tendencies and she has to wash her hands by dettol

when she touches any adult female. Even the utensils used by any female are

washed by her before she uses them. This problem has worsened over years and now

she has to use 5 liters of dettol per day. She is in a mental hospital for 6 th

time currently and even most eminent Doctors in India are unable to help. All

standard and known treatment are tried ( Medicines , Shock treatment , behavior

Therapy etc ) but nothing has helped.

 

The only solution which Doctors have suggested now is to go in from Brain

surgery which would remove the portion of her brain which controls obsessive

tendencies. Parents do not want to opt for this solution.

 

Many spiritual remedies have been tried but nothing has worked.

 

Can anybody throw more light ?

following so that we can try our best to advise:

1.When and how did the problem begin? And what was the

Panchanga of the day?

2.Is it after her first menstrual cycle?

3.Is her mother alive and is she living with her? If

already dead, when?

4.Does she have sisters? Do they live with her?

5.What is the difference in her behaviour wrt small girls,

young ones, adults and old ladies?

6.Did something strange happen during her change to

adulthood?

7.What is the observation of her teachers and classmates

wrt her behaviour?

Hello Anil

 

The issue relates to her childhood. She has most probably seen

something in the childhood which led her to think there is something

unhygenic about Adult women. Her present intellect cannot resolve the

issue as her memory about that incident, has faded.

 

Her conscious decision in the past, is more like an instinct now. A

very strong instinct without present conscious decision making brings

obsessive compulsive disorder. The best way to resolve it would be to

let the person not be in touch with Adult women for some time, such

that she stops washing herself with dettol. Slowly her obsession will

decrease. This is a hard way but necessary.

 

Saturn and Mercury are dominant planets in her chart and are conjunct

in the 9th house. Mercury loses its exaltation as it is retrograde.

Sun the lord of the eighth is not of help either. Moon is in the

Saturnian sign and in the navamsha lies with Rahu-Ketu axis. Deep

obsessive behavior is a result of Ketu's association with Moon or its

sign. Ketu regresses in the past heedlessly and that is the cause of

such an effect on the mind.

 

Moon's dasha started in 1985 and continued till 1995. Either in 1986

or 1992 that the issue happened (during Rahu or Ketu anter). She has

seen something related to her mother, or sister or aunt, that she

could not speak out at that time.

 

Current dasha is that of Rahu. Rahu is in the sixth house. It is

likely that the problem will occur time and again with different

intensities.

 

Durga Saptashati Patha 21 times should help, alongwith family support

and other suggested methods. Hypnotism can also be used to help her.

 

Besides the above, please ask family members to chant

"Vishnushahastranama" every wednesday and Saturday. Worshiping Lord

Krishna on Saturday will help too.

 

Ultimate result is always in the hands of the Lord. Genuine prayer

Dear Anil,

I try analyse chart with KP. With placidus house divisions, Moon in

12th, Rahu in 5th, Venus+ Sun+Mer in 8th, Sat in 9th vigo, Jup in

9th in libra, Mars in 10th in scorpio and Ketu in 11th in Sagi.

 

Chart is spoiled due to star lord of ascendent Moon being in 12th

house.Sat is sub lord of ascendent. Sat-Moon_Sat is not good. Many

planets in dander zone in 8th house is also bad.

 

For recovery we have to analyse the 5th and 11th houses/cusps.

 

Venus is 5th lord.Mars is star and sub lords at 5th house. 11th

house lord is mars star is Mercury and sub is again Mars.

Rahu in 5th is good and Ketu in 11th is also good.

 

Although Mars is Badhaka lord but placed 12th to 11th but in its own

sign is beneficial here. Mars is prominently shown in 5th and 11th

cusp. So surgery appears to be the only option. Mars is conjunt

Urenus.

 

Analysing periods running, Rahu dasa rahu in 5th in its own star is

very hopeful. Rahu in sub of Venus lord of 5th is good. Rahu is not

associated with Maraka and but getting aspect from Mars badhakesh

(surgery),so Rahu period appears to be somewhat dangerous but safe

for the native.

 

Jupiter in Star of Rahu and Sub of Venus is again good. Venus in 8th

with Sun and Mercury show dander ie surgery etc.

 

Saturn is in star of Mars can mean surgery, but suturn is maraka

lord 2nd as well as ascendent.

 

Mercury antra and ketu antra appear to be recovery periods as ketu

in 11th house in star and sub of Venus.

 

Overall judgement says that native health may improve but planets in

12th and 8th may not give a smooth sailing. Surgery appears to be

the best option.

under strict vigilance as she has developed suicidal tendencies and likely to

Hi Anil,

What your freind is suffering from is commonly called as the OCD

(Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and can have varying degrees.

It is pathological rather than pscychological. Maybe something in her birth

chart may cause her to be this way.

Dear KAD,

 

I was not sure whether to give details of this complex case in a general forum

where there is no guarantee that it is accessed only by matured and Adult

persons. However I decided that atleast some major details I would share.

Members please not that such cases are very rare and therefore very challenging

, especially when best of the medical fraternity in the world has given up hopes

and the only choice left for the patient is to go for astrology and astrological

remedies. OCD ( Obsessive Compulsive Disorder ) is many times very difficult to

be treated and unfortunately there is no panacea available inspite of newer and

newer medicines getting invented.

 

I am trying to answer your queries below in red.

 

Dear friend,

I do not know, how this post can help you but please answer the

following so that we can try our best to advise:

1.When and how did the problem begin? And what was the

Panchanga of the day?

 

The problem began when the Girl was in 9 th standard just after onset of

puberty. She has not indicated exact date.

 

2.Is it after her first menstrual cycle?

 

Yes.

 

3.Is her mother alive and is she living with her? If

already dead, when?

 

Mother is alive , and living with her , but she does not get along well with

daughter at all.

 

4.Does she have sisters? Do they live with her?

 

She has no sisters or Brothers.

 

5.What is the difference in her behavior wrt small girls,

young ones, adults and old ladies?

 

She has a extreme disgust to touch a female whose periods are on, even while

traveling in a public transport she asks the female person who touches her if

her periods are on , if yes, then she washes her hand by Dettol many times

after going home. In her own periods she washes all the utensils and buckets by

10 liters of dettol , ALA and Harpic while doctors have not allowed more than

two liters of dettol. This is a very very extreme situation but 100% factual. To

answer your question she has no issues with female whose period has not yet

started and whose periods are over. But she confirms that with every women who

touches her, which is very embracing. She used to travel in male compartment

just to avoid asking such embracing questions to copassanger.

 

 

6.Did something strange happen during her change to adulthood?

 

In her adolescent stage a boy whom she used to like and was in love with her

cheated with her and eventually ditched her, caused a sever psychological

trauma on her. She had to take psychiatric treatment to forget him. She has been

a very bright child and very fond of teachers till 8 the standard. She was very

studious and used to be rank holder. All the issues started while she was in 9

th. She is also having relationship with a married man currently which obviously

her parents do not like. This man under pretext of helping her has been

exploiting her and abusing her which she is unable to understand.

 

7.What is the observation of her teachers and classmates

wrt her behavior?

 

Classmates and teachers are totally perplexed and confused with this unique

nature of disorder.

I have tried to help this case with astrological analysis and some remedies

allowed by their religion. She got considerably improved till Dec 2004 , however

there is a relapse in last few days and she had to be rushed to hospital again.

Otherwise she is good looking , fluent in English communication and intelligent.

However both her hands have developed sores by use of dettol and other

chemicals. Also due to overdose of shocks given to her , her hands got burned.

 

She trusts me totally even more that the doctors as most of my analysis about

her in last year has come true and she is of my daughter's age. I am putting in

all my efforts to ensure that she gets cured. She wants me to give her advice by

day after tomorrow whether she should go ahead with brain surgery. This was the

main reason why I decided to discuss such case in open forum. I am not sure what

kind of brain surgery it is, but it probably deals with removal of the portion

of the brain which is responsible for obsessive thoughts. This is also likely to

affect some of her other faculties about which Doctors are not too sure.

 

As indicated in my other email, We are discussing with some other Doctors in USA

about possible options, I have contacted some eminent astrologers personally and

also those who have proven remedies for such problems. I am compiling all this

data and then would discuss with the Parents , the girl and the doctor to take a

final decision. It will be heartening to note that doctors are willing to

discuss advice of astrologers which normally does not happen.

Dear Anil,

It is a real pity to know the sufferings of the native. But your

answers are in line with my analysis of the chart and so

I am trying to share my views and if they help you in solving the

problem, I am the happiest person!

 

1.As I suspected, the problem is due to Mars and Rahu. It started in

Mars dasha Rahu bhukti and got worse and subsided at

Mars-Rahu Sandhi and relapsed in Rahu Dasha and will be completely

over only at the advent of Mars' sub period. Even if gets

cured now or anywhere in between, its temporary and may relapse

anytime. If surgery can cure this, it may also lead to more

complications like paralyses or dislocation, loss of sense or memory

since Mercury is retrograde and severely afflicted and

So I feel, Surgery is not needed NOW, unless it is really necessary

at present; I suggest to WAIT before opting for surgery,

and find out alternatives since RAHU is the planet

of 'suddenness', 'unexpted happening' and 'unbelievable truth'. Please

note that problem causing Mars and Rahu are under Saturn's aspect and

clearly indicate her problem takes time to be solved!

 

2.Hypnotism would not help her more, since her Mars is very strong

making her non-submissive at mind. Her Lagna lord

and Rashi lord Saturn is about to enter his exaltation sign, making

her much stronger at her conviction. Just a push of thought

can make her stable in her conviction and no doctor can cure her in

that case. So Mars is offendingly strong and Saturn is

about to become highly defending in nature. There is a fantastic

quality of Saturn to become lethargic and time consuming,

which should be promoted in her case to make her obsession take

a 'SLOW' pace and 'neglect' what she feels irritating.

And Mars must be pleased and cooled down to ground as well as Rahu.

THIS can be implemented to some extent in her food habitats.

 

3.Medicines can change her with proper counselling (OF COURSE IT

CONSUMES TIME) and results can not be immediate, whatever

remedy a doctor or astrologer prescribes. Both Mars and Rahu being

planets of 'sudden action', I fear, may worsen if decision

is taken in a hurry. Both can be controlled by strengthening Saturn

aspecting them, of course with a time delay but completely!

There are many ways to please planets and I feel in this case,

Mantras enchanted can make her more stronger at mind.

In food, Toor-dhal(AaDhaka), Udad-dhal(Maasha)and all red dhals must

be avoided while Moong(Mudga), sesame(Tila) and bean-gram(Nishpaava)

must

be used in abundance. This would make her FEEL and understand her

feminine nature and suppresses anti-RAJO tendencies.

 

All said above, I would like to stress upon avoiding surgery as far

as possible since I fear it may worsen the case.

If at all she can do some meditation, listen to some speeches of

philosophical nature (especially by a person who knows her problem)

and tread the spiritual path, I would justify the combination of 4

planets in 9th and Kethu in 12th!

 

Her karmic level seems to be somewhat higher, getting completeness in

this life; hope you too have felt that!

Dear Anil,

It is a real pity to know the sufferings of the native. But your

answers are in line with my analysis of the chart and so

I am trying to share my views and if they help you in solving the

problem, I am the happiest person!

 

1.As I suspected, the problem is due to Mars and Rahu. It started in

Mars dasha Rahu bhukti and got worse and subsided at

Mars-Rahu Sandhi and relapsed in Rahu Dasha and will be completely

over only at the advent of Mars' sub period. Even if gets

cured now or anywhere in between, its temporary and may relapse

anytime. If surgery can cure this, it may also lead to more

complications like paralyses or dislocation, loss of sense or memory

since Mercury is retrograde and severely afflicted and

So I feel, Surgery is not needed NOW, unless it is really necessary

at present; I suggest to WAIT before opting for surgery,

and find out alternatives since RAHU is the planet

of 'suddenness', 'unexpted happening' and 'unbelievable truth'. Please

note that problem causing Mars and Rahu are under Saturn's aspect and

clearly indicate her problem takes time to be solved!

 

2.Hypnotism would not help her more, since her Mars is very strong

making her non-submissive at mind. Her Lagna lord

and Rashi lord Saturn is about to enter his exaltation sign, making

her much stronger at her conviction. Just a push of thought

can make her stable in her conviction and no doctor can cure her in

that case. So Mars is offendingly strong and Saturn is

about to become highly defending in nature. There is a fantastic

quality of Saturn to become lethargic and time consuming,

which should be promoted in her case to make her obsession take

a 'SLOW' pace and 'neglect' what she feels irritating.

And Mars must be pleased and cooled down to ground as well as Rahu.

THIS can be implemented to some extent in her food habitats.

 

3.Medicines can change her with proper counselling (OF COURSE IT

CONSUMES TIME) and results can not be immediate, whatever

remedy a doctor or astrologer prescribes. Both Mars and Rahu being

planets of 'sudden action', I fear, may worsen if decision

is taken in a hurry. Both can be controlled by strengthening Saturn

aspecting them, of course with a time delay but completely!

There are many ways to please planets and I feel in this case,

Mantras enchanted can make her more stronger at mind.

In food, Toor-dhal(AaDhaka), Udad-dhal(Maasha)and all red dhals must

be avoided while Moong(Mudga), sesame(Tila) and bean-gram(Nishpaava)

must

be used in abundance. This would make her FEEL and understand her

feminine nature and suppresses anti-RAJO tendencies.

 

All said above, I would like to stress upon avoiding surgery as far

as possible since I fear it may worsen the case.

If at all she can do some meditation, listen to some speeches of

philosophical nature (especially by a person who knows her problem)

and tread the spiritual path, I would justify the combination of 4

planets in 9th and Kethu in 12th!

 

Her karmic level seems to be somewhat higher, getting completeness in

this life; hope you too have felt that!

Dear Anil,

 

I am analyzing the chart as per the query. This lady

is passing through the period of Rahu placed in the

sixth house of disease. Rahu is aspected by Mars from

Eleventh and Saturn from ninth house. This as you can

assume has aggravated the situation.

 

Jupiter's aspect would have protected but being the

twelfth house lord and placed in nakshatra of Rahu he

is unable to help. Venus is debilitated in her

horoscope at 0' degree, showing this tendency only

towards ladies. Venus is also the fifth house lord.

 

Venus in debilitation also indicates her poorva Karmas

and her deeds towards some young lady. Rahu indicates

demonic possessions and problems originating from

them.

 

She should have performed navratras and offered food

to young ladies. You can also inform her parents to

take her to Mehndi pur balaji which is near Jaipur. My

intutions tell me that she will not be operated and

will be cured by a Guru.

 

I may be wrong in interpretation. Wise astrologers may

throw more light on it.

Dear Anil ,

 

Let us look at the chart from purely astrological angle first . There is a

stellium in the ninth house involving the tenth lord and first lord.

 

Moon is alone and in lagna .

 

Only benefics in the kendra .

 

 

All this in nutshell means she is likely to have very sensitive and soft

nature .

 

Now lookng at the sixth house we see that Rahu is housed there and is very

close to the ascendant . This points to some kind of mental problem which is

difficult to diagnose .

 

Some of the remedial measures for the problem .

 

First is based on the nature of the problem . The problem is mental so the

solution needs to be physical . The girl needs to be taught well in terms of

natural hygine , natural immune agencies and how they work and made to carry

out specific exercises whereby she comes to know that her fears are not

having solid grounds .

Sri Anil and Kad

 

I agree to most of the recommendation made by Sri Kad except the

following:

 

1. Though the problem manifested in Mars period, the seed was set in

the period of Moon.

 

2. Mars is aspected by Saturn and therefore hynotism can work. Saturn

being a powerful lord of the ascendant asserts and promotes the

welfare of the individual. Mars is most active in conscious field and

in a subconscious field, Mars prominence will be lessened. In other

words, it will be difficult to convince her about hypnotism but once

she agrees, it is going to benefit a lot.

 

3. Durga Saptashati Patha is essential, as Rahu's affliction is

powerful. Durga Saptashati Patha also helps in reducing malefic

aspects of Mars and it strengthens the mind against complexes.

 

4. Vishnushahastranama is essential as Mercury and Saturn shall gain

strength in a positive way. Mercury is essential for her to resolve

the issue as it is the lord of the intellect.

 

5. I fully agree with Sri KAD on account of spiritual life that this

girl should try and live but a healthy working mind is prerequisite

for the same and it is a path that can be tread after her cure.

 

Someone mentioned about Balaji near Jaipur. There are two Balaji temples:

 

1. Salasar - between Jaipur and Ajmer

2. Mehndipur - diverstion from Agra

 

Balaji Hanuman is the diety at both the places. I just wanted to

clarify the confusion regarding Sri Balaji temples.

Dear Friends,

There is good response on this thread.Let me again give a KP analysis

of the problem. Most of the friend have given all the blames of the

chart to Mars and Rahu. But as I see, boh these are savior of the

native may be dangerously.

 

Problem area is 8th house which extends from 22* Leo to 23* Virgo.

12 th bhava is from 18* Sagi to 16* capricorn.

 

Lord of 8th Sun and Mer and Venus are in 8th house, but in 9th rasi

Virgo. Virgo is also having Sat in 9th house. Thus Virgo is severely

inflicted here. Nervous, mental, compulsive problems are in the

domain of Virgo. Virgo is obsessed with cleaniness also.Had these

planets be in Virgo in some other house , it might have been

beneficial to the native, but in 8th bhava it has caused great

misery. Even exalted Mercury here in 8th is for nervous problems.

 

8th Sun also is not good. Here it is in star of Moon which is in

12th. There is exchange of stars between Sun and Moon. Making it a

watery problem.Capricorn is also mental problems depression

compulsive behaviour. Moon signfying 12th &8th is very bad--

isolation, danger, misery.

 

Moon is rising as sub lord at 6th cusp. So 6th, 8th and 12th houses

are all involved. Some minutes of difference in birth time might have

made this a very good chart. All the miseries of the native inspite

of Gaj keshari and Mars in 11th or as per KP10th. Mer exalted. Sat

and Jup well placed.So placement of planets in the bhavas are most

importnat not the strength or Yoga etc.

 

As I said in my earlier posting the Mars is saving the native[ Mars

is violent but not nervous, it is not inflicting Mer also in the

chart. Rahu and Ketu also beneficial.

 

Mars results are to be got in Sat periods as Sat is in Mars star.

Rahu in its own star means it will give relief in its dasa. It has

aspect of Mars.Jup also in star of Rahu is helpful as ts bhukti is

running.

 

Why Rahu did not give relief early? As Rahu is in 6th sign and

standing for Mercury, it will also having disease. But is appropriate

bhukti and antra it should help.

 

To me it appears that surgery is only option, inspite of its being

dangerous., as I see Mars rising as Star and sub lord at 5th cusp and

also sub lord at 11th cusp.

Dear Kad,

You are so right in your analysis. In most of the cases of

psychological disorders I have noticed two common characteristics in

horoscopes. One, a volatile mars and two, venus in conjunction with

mars, rahu or saturn. Here, mars is in scorpio making her very adamant

and angry. Venus, being lord of fifth, intellect, and lord of tenth,

concious mind, is dead, debiliated and powerless.

Often such problems begin by native's efforts to gain attention of

others after suferring from some frustations.

There is also an unconcious desire to prove herself innocent of any

guilt. The hatred towards female touch could be an unconcious desire

to hide her latent sexual attraction towards other females, which she

thinks is also responible for her being ditched by the boy she loved.

Surgery is risky. If she does not like to touch females, let her

not touch them. A life is possible that way. Difficult but possible.

It will, at least, be better than a brain surgery.

I don't know whether a blue sapphire was tested on her or not,

but it could be helpful.

One chalanging case

Dear anil,

 

Well, i have been thru such one case once, the only way to help this girl, is by means of hypnotism, we have to take this gril into deep trance and after that, we have to question her about this obbessive tnedency, i am sure some adult female must have sexually harrased her, due to which she has a psycological flaw, where she feels that due to that "sexual incident", she is dirty and now, everynow and then,she uses dettol to clean herself, after touching any female, i think we have to reprograame his sub-conscious mind with this isntruction that this is absolutely normal, and she wont get dirty just by touch of a women......

 

So contact a nice doctor who can hypnotise her and then further re programme her sub conscious mind.
