D-2 is not at all into Yoga formation, but is used to predict mutually exclusive events. Gaja-Kesari YOGA, as per classical dicta, is formed when Jupiter is in Kendra from Moon.(1-4-7-10). There are some arguments that GAJA(Elephant) - KESARI(Lion) must have been taken from the Vehicles of Jupiter and Moon. But Moon is supposed to have White horse (SHWETASHWA)/ a pair of deer(MRIGA) as vehicle too. So, the argument continues......BUT I have seen Gajakesari Yoga operating well wrt happiness from vehicles!..strange? There is also another set of logic - Gaja-Kesari Yoga must have been YOGA(combination) of Gaja(Jupiter) in Kesari(Leo/Simha rashi) Well, it may be funny to note a report which says that automotive giants all over the world saw LOSS when Jupiter was in Leo!...strange enough? I know of a Panchanga - maker who used to add a line during Guru's Simha transit : ".....though marriages are prohibited when Jupiter transits Leo, it seems to be obsolete, at least in South India....". Well, it is the SAME in North India too, as well as rest of the World. The original text in Sanskrit can be found in astro-meteorology or Judicial astrology. All that I remember now is that 'South of Vindhya' was clearly prohibited of marriages during Jupiter's Leo transit. Intesresting..........! Does it bear any significance wrt Earth being in Aquarian age...exactly 7th from Leo...?! Interesting...! If Leo Jupiter kicks off automobile problems, there is something to study! All inputs are welcome. Hope I am not wasting members' time and effort. As far as Soumit's case is concerned, when the vehicle gave troubles, Jupiter was no doubt in Leo but co-incidentally Rahu Dasha and Kethu Antara was at progress and nodal axis being with debilitated(nullified) Mars, the lord of Vehicles(4,11 and 4th from Moon) had to kick off problems, being afflicted by Saturn backed Kethu(Antara lord) and Rahu(Dasha lord). I suspect Mercury's involvement in transmission loss and saturn/Mars involvement in axle problems. If any of the above links to Leo Jupiter, my studies get a good turn. My 4th/9th house lord Mars is also conjunct my Moon,and so I have Chandra Mangala Yoga. I also have Jupiter 2 houses from 1st house lord Sun in 2nd,and so I have Vesi Yoga. Guest guest Report post Posted February 2, 2005 Well, if Jupiter occupies quadrants from Moon, it is Gajakesari Yoga - no doubt! whatever may be moon sign(even for Sagit.), THE DICTUM HOLDS GOOD; I was speaking of other views of it. Please don't get confused; If you are a beginner, refer to classical books for GK yoga. Just the mere presence of Moon in Jupiter's sign does not create Gaj Kesari Yog. Both Jupiter and Moon have to be in angles from one another (1,4,7,10) for the yoga to happen. The Yoga symbolizes two of the powerful animals in the forest. Elephant and Lion. In the writings of Pandit Sanjay Rath, he says that just like a lion (although single) can scare away hundreds of elephants , very similarly a single sincere prayer to the Lord can ward away thousands of illnesses. Guest guest Report post Posted September 16, 2006 Dear friend, You should remember that any yoga in the birth chart, the planets forming the should be strong,should form in benefic houses, should not be conjuncted or aspected by any malefic planet,combusted or hemmed in between malefic planets, their rashish should be strong and their navamshesh should also be benefic planet and in navamsha chart they should not be debilitated or posited in enemy planet's sign. Only then you will have the results of good yoga. M.R.Moorthi 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2009 It is true that Gajakesari is formed,when Jupiter is in kendra from Moon but the yoga is effective only when Jupiter and Moon are free from malefic aspects & associations,both in D1 & D9.Otherwise the yoga does not exist.
