Moon Remedies - Neeraj

Dear Neeraj,

 

The remedies for Moon are given below. Also i have given a small

explaination for the reasons for back firing.

 

1) Donating on mondays- Since the power of Moon is maximum on during

night hence the donation should be preferably given during that time,

late on Monday evening donate milk, white rice, water, silver or a

white stone (such as a pearl or a moonstone), Camphor, White-cloth,

conch, white sandal, white flower, curd. Now another thing is the

person whom you are giving the donation. The person should be a lady

(whose leadership embodies the value of motherhood).

 

2) Mantra- First of all, i dont know whether the mantra that you have

mentioned has a typing error or you were really doing it as it is not

correct.

 

You have mentioned "Om Som Bhaumaya Namah"

 

The mantra should be "Om Som Somaya Namah"

 

Bhaumaya is one of the names of Mars not Moon.

 

Other Mantras you can recite

 

Om Shraam Shreem Shroum Sah Chandramase Namah, 11000 times in 40 days

(preferrably during evening).

 

Gayatri Mantra of Chandra:

 

Om Ksheeraputraya Vidmahe Amruta-tatvaya Dhimahi Tanno Chandra

Prachodayat

 

Other Gayatries of Chandra

 

AUM Nisakaraaya vidmahe, kalanaathaya dhimahi, tanno Somah

prachodayat.

 

AUM ATRI PUTRAYAI SAGRONDARYA DHIMAHI, TANNO CHANDRA PRACHODAYAT

 

Other than that you can also recite Annapoorna stotram and worship

Maa Gouri.

 

3) Chandra Abhishekham - Really can say why it didnt gave positive

results but you can check out with some other purohit with the vidhi

that should be followed other than what was done.

 

One more mantra for Chandra "AUM SHRIM KRIM CHAM CHANDRAYE NAMAH AUM"

 

You can also worship God Shiv as he is the one whose head we can see

the Moon.

Dear Neeraj and Gaurav,

 

For moon...one more mantra is ...

 

" Thathishanka Thushaaraapam

Ksheerodharnava sambhavam.../

Namami shashinam somam

sambhormakuta bhushanam.....//

 

Recitation..108 times every day in the evening.

 

Second from soundaryalahiri..the one sloka starting as " sivassakthya

yuktho yati bhavati saktha prabhavithum...but please consult pandit

because it requires elaborate pooja preparations failing which it may

not give results...

 

third recite sivastuti and rajarajeshwari stotram or ashtakam or

trisati or durga stuti which ever is convenient and easy to follow

regularly in front of the god and light ghee lamp there. Atleast on

monday if you can go the temple and do it is better.

Thanks for the remedies, I think I will go for the

third one, first one I have tried it earlier.

 

Dadhishankha Tusharaabham....... (It gave me no

results, niether positive, nor negative)

 

I will try to go to temple on mondays and light a

lamp. Also I have got durga stuti, so will start that

~ Om Namah Shivaya ~

 

Dear Gaurav,

 

Thanks for a detailed reply. I used to donate in

morning and in the temple, not to any particular

person.

 

Regarding mantra, I am sorry, it was typing error, I

recited Om Som Somaya Namah (Don't worry about

spellings, I use devanagari / sanskrit script. In

english, there may exist different versions of

spellings)

 

I am worshipping lord shiva. I daily recite "Om Namah

Shivaya" atleast 108 times using rudraksha beads.

 

I will check with other mantras too (right now chandra

gayatri will try first). will pick up exact wordings

from any sanskrit book or VRA, so that I get

pronounciation right.
