Does Mangal Dosh in Navamsa mean anything?

To all the learned astrologers on this listserv.

I am a beginner to this fascinating field and I was looking up some

literature on spose and I discovered that reading the Navamsa gives

idea of the nature of the spouse.

My Navamsa has mars in the 8th house so I am wondering if my spouse

will be a Manglik. I am not a Manglik...so I am in doubt whether to

trust the Navamsa prediction in this regard.

It would be nice if someone can shed me light on how to go about

reading such a Navamsa.

Thank you

Aneesha

Hello Aneesha,

You can look to see the functional nature of Mars first to see if it afflicts

the eighth or is a benefit. Also see if it is debilitated there or not.

Jaya Jagannatha !

Dear member,

Strength of the divisional chart does not overthrow the

rasi chart. But will stop the rasi chart's fall.

8th house is considered differently in the case of men and women.

male fics in the 8th house is not so good.

In female chart malefic in the 8th doesn't pave way for husband,s

prosperity.

Marital matters should be looked from many different angles.

Thank you Sally, thank you Siva

Mars is placed in Cancer in the rashi chart and in Cancer in the

navamsha- I think this means that it is debilitated in both- is that

correct? I guess this is the "vargottama" condition in which the

planets are in the same sign in both the rashi and navamsa chart. So

what does that mean? Is my spouse going to be a manglik?

My DOB is March 29, 1978 and time 4:35 AM. If possible, can someone

look at the charts and tell me what the next step to finding out

spouse characteristics will be?

Thanks very much

Aneesha

We need your place of birth. Sally

And you cannot go by just Mars in a chart, you need to see first if it is a

functional malefic or if it is a weak benefic or not. Sally

The divisionals tell the strength of the planets in that area, after determining

the strength in the rasi. Sally

There is no meaning to consider a person as Manglik when Mars is in Manglik said

houses in Navamsha. There are about 35 % people who are Manglik by considering

the Mars in peculiar houses in the main birth chart. By taking Navamsha into

the cosideration of Manglik Dosha 75 % of whole of the world will become

Manglik.

More so Navamsha houses has some different perspective of interpretation than

that of Main Lagna chart.

Best of luck

Om Gurave Namah

Kuja dosha as i see it has always been the most mis-understood concept. If a

native has kuja dosha it does not always mean it will end in harming the

spouse. For the spouse to be harmed, the upapada shld be afflicted as well.

Also if this mars aspects the 3rd from Jupiter it cld bring in fatal results

for the spouse (in the female chart).

Hope this helps

Spouse, Look for a moolitrikona sign in first the seventh, then the second, then

the fourth, then the eighth houses. Leo is in your fourth and Sag is in your

eighth, so look to the Sun and Jupiter and their significations for the spouse.

Sun is strong but afflicted in the eleventh, therefore look towards friends,

and being afflicted, there will be tensions, so propitiate Ketu. Your

spirituality will carry you through, as well as the astral remedies. Moon is

debilitated in the seventh, so the Moon needs strengthened. Sally

Disregard this one, as the time zone was not entered in and the ascendant was

incorrect. Excuse the error please. Sally

Hello Anisha

To some extent you have answer to your question of Manglik Dosha with yourself.

As you stated in the previos message that how to judge spouse characteristics

from Navamsha Chart. Yes its the Navamsha to see about the spouse as well as

your luck. The power of Navamsha determines the inner capacities, fortune and

spouse too. Whereas The main chart's diagnosis analyze the personality with

respect to all of its dealings, behavior and disposition. Some of the houses of

the main chart get disturbed by having Mars in them in terms of peace

specifically in the fields of family life and marital relation. Some times the

Mars effect may even result in death causing instincts to the spouse.

Whereas Navamsha will only indicate the power and importance of life partner as

well as the favourable oppertunities coming in the life of a native. But it is

difficult to understand Astrology completly with the disscussions and sharing

of messages. The learning system has to be followed in a proper manner.

Navamsha Chart has some other important significances also. One can also judge

the possibilities of harmonious conditions in the life.

I am observing that you are much emphasizing on Navamsha from last few days and

it looks that it has concerned with your curiousity to know about your spouse.

Your curiousity is appreciable. But most of the time it has been seen practicaly

that the time of the birth is not too precise to find out the the correct

Navamsha chart. Navamsha chart gets changed just after the difference of 16

minutes and many of the astrologers forget about the correctness of time and

take Navamsha into the consideration and predict a lot.

Best of luck
