Dear Sudarshan,

Hari has explained it right, but even writing has its limitations, let me try to

give a clearer example.

 

Graha Dristi:

Desires change from time to time, and this is thus read from the Dasa! Hence we

can see which desires the person has during their current phase in life, and

predict accordingly. Malefics with desires, are very determined and their

desire is so strong, that they risk getting hurt when they dont achieve their

desires!

So look at the Graha dristis on various houses. If Mars has graha dristi on the

5th, then predict anger related to children. If Saturn, then sorrow, etc. This

is bound to happen.

 

Then all you have todo is time when. Desires can lead to grand raja yogas, or in

some cases, very bad results.

 

 

Rasi Dristi:

When two Rasis see each other, there is a mutual knowledge shared between the

houses. i.e. i know whats in your house, and you know whats in mine.

If planets are in these houses, then we can infer that somebodies home!

 

So when Jupiter is in a Rasi, its other Rasis which have dristi on the same,

will know that Jupiter is home. Now, as Jupiter is of beneficial nature and

sits and recites mantras all the time, this is bound to benefit the rest of the

neighboorhood! The neighboorhood becomes happy, and anxiety is quickly removed.

 

Now what if a criminal lives in the neighboorhood? The aspecting Rasis know that

the criminal is there, and their anxiety is suddenly at its highest! They are

scared!

 

Hence Rasi Dristi is all about knowledge.

 

Conjunction:

Easy. What if the criminal is in your home? Likely you are going to be

influenced by the criminals activity, and if you are easy convincable like

Mercury, you might even begin such activities yourself.

 

 

House placement and results:

A person on the list raised an example about Saturn in the 4th house, and its

effects in regards to bhava Karaka, and quality of placement.

 

In truth, the Dwadasaaditya are the source of all creation. These 12 Suns, are

represented by the Sun in every Rasi, hence the name; DwadasaAditya.

 

Hence the Signs are the real giver, and infact the planets are only filters.

If Saturn is in the 4th, it influences the Matrikaraka, Bhoomi, Sukha, etc.

 

Now, how it does so must be understood as well!

If Saturn is in its debilitation sign, its very angry, and destroys the house

completely, and even exhile may happen like in the case of Sri Ram.

If exalted, then Sasa mahapurusha Yoga occurs and great fortunes like excellent

buildings and propperty, many maidservants, etc.

 

Yet some ill effects on the bhava karaka will still be felt like, desire for

more lands, due to disatisfaction. Happiness comes from mothers-representatives

and not mother herself, etc. Similarly judge placement in enimical, friendly,

etc signs.

 

Combust planets will do nothing unless the king (sun) is appeased.

Om Gurave Namah Dear Sudarsan, Thanks for the mail. I too am a sishya of Visti.

I will try to asnwer whatever little i know. The anology between rasi dristi,

graha drishti and conjuntion is as follows. Let;s assume you and a friend of

urs live together. You are more satwik in nature and spend ur time praying and

in meditation. your friend on the other hand is a party freak and spends all

his free time in clubs etc. At ur neighbour;s house a peist moves in who also

is very satwik like you. Thus the influence of the preist is more on you rather

than to your friend. The desire of the perist to guide you is well recieved by

you and not so much by your firend. This deisre of the preist to influence is

called graha drishti. It;s temporary as tomorrow you or the priest may move out

to a diff house. But what is permanent is your house and your nighbour;s house.

they dont go anywhere. The two houses aalways know each other's presence. This

parmanent feature is called Rasi Drishti. When all this influcening is

working... other kind of influence that is in play is the influence of your

tamasic friend on you!. This is conjuntion. And this conjuntion is more

powerful than any aspect. now to your example. Saturn placed in the 4th

infuences that 4th house more being placed in the 4th. The play is even more

strong if along with saturn there sits mars! or jupiter. Saturn with mars

(botrh tamasic) / saturn with jupiter (with satwik). this conjuntion is

powerful than any aspcets. If on the other hand saturn just aspects 4th house

by rasi drishti then the desire of satrun will come into play on the 4th house.

The desire of saturn is sowrrow, slowless (manda) and causing distress as a

means of delivering justice. (saturn is only bothered about justice). Hope

this helps. I know only little and thus for all of us to learn am marking this
