JAYA JAGANNATHA!

Dear Members,

Namaste.

Please excuse me for not replying all the assignments separately, but I think

that reading each others' all of you have understood the proper answrs. There

were also two other points that I wanted to bring out from this:

Question 3.: Most of you remained caught up in the astronomical part of things,

however my aim here was to connect it with the astrological signficance. The

divisions of the zodiac, i.e. Rasis and Nakshartas and D-charts indicate

inanimate or non-moving objects or concepts in the chart, like houses, places,

life circumstances, life areas etc. And the persons playing roles in someone's

life are indicated by the planets lording those houses. For example, the 4th

house indicates the mother, or rather her life circumstances, but it's Paka

(the lord of the house) will indicate the mother herself, her body, etc. Also

Parashara states that the Grahas are qualitative incarnations of Vaasudeva,

while the rasis/bhavas are the areas influenced by them, like someone's house

which represents the native's mentality etc.

The other point with task no. 4 was the following: The Adrusya Rasis (i.e. sings

below the horizon) indicate the pore private or intimate life areas, while the

Drusya Rasis (i.e. ones above the horizon) will indicate the more common,

public sides of the native's life. This will be vivid when we come to the

description of the significations of the houses. So in turn, the focus of

attention in the native's life is usually where the planets are. Like in a

house you will look for the rooms where people are, not for the empty ones. So

if someone hase most of the planets in houses 1-7 then he is more like an

introvert type, not so outgoing. If the situation is the opposite, then his

attention will more turn outward. Of course this is tinted by Navamsha and

other D-charts positions, but it gives some clue in most of the cases.

I hope you have benefited from the lesson. The second one is coming soon.

Yours,
