The weight of the stone, or the carats,

depend upon the individual's horoscope, the body weight of the wearer and

the quality of the stone.

 

I cannot pin-point any reliable source which is available at all

places. The neighbourhood jeweller can not be trusted here because of the

proliferation of synthetic gems from china and taiwan in the market.

 

Going for a well established and famous jeweller is a safe option,

but there the overhead costs are almost equal to the stone's cost. If you

can afford their prices, contact them.

 

It also depends on your place of residence. The problem with Neelam

is that it is to be tested before wearing it. Suppose, you order a neelam

from some other city or country and it does not suit you well, you will try

to return it and there the problem arises. So, with neelam, a trusted source

who will take back the gem, should be found.

Hi Kishore,

 

As far as I know, saturn is the most maelfic planet

for leo lagna and the leo natives should not wear

neelam. The best stone for leo natives is ruby.

Sometimes, yellow sapphire and Red Coral (or Emerald)

is also prescribed along with ruby.

male, 21st October, 1954,(4 am) sholapur, India

 

I am aware that Neelam is not generally prescribed for the simple

reason that Saturn is an adhipatya papi.

 

He is a natural malefic owning a Kendra and hence, he turns a

benefic. But then, he is also owning the sixth house first. Hence, he

remains malefic for Leo.

 

Saturn for Leo is not only a malefic but in general is a cannibal of

Mars,. who is a RYK for leo.(for eg., if mars is aspecting 7th,

saturn aspecting mars will cancel the delay of marriage. If mars is

RYk, a strong saturn stalls the ry in his dasa/bhukti> this generally

happens for aries, cancer and leo)

 

so, there are two reasons why you should not prescribe neelam for leo

asc. one, that saturn is an adhipatya papi and that any effort to

strengthen saturn will weaken mars and thus, the good results that

mars can give will be stalled.

 

 

Now coming to the individual's horoscope, let us see how mars and

saturn are behaving.

 

Mars is in exalation in saturn's house and currently, Kuja maha dasa

is on. On the other hand, Saturn is also in exaltation, along with

Sun (and mercury) ,in 3rd giving the neech bhang to sun.

 

Thus, both mars and saturn are sufficiently strong. Saturn also does

not behave as a malefic(ref saravali) since it is in exaltation.

 

similiarly, the mars which is in exaltation and should fully give you

good results. But unfortunately, this is also the sixth house. and

Mars in sixth house will give you body pains, surgeries or accidents.

 

In the case of the native, the very benefic is giving the least of

the troubles- ie pains.

 

The reason for these pains is not saturn, since it is not due to any

disease. Hence, the mars, otherwise a benefic, should be moderated to

some extent, especially so in view of the age of the person. (Career

RY is less importatant than health at this juncture)

 

The best way to curtail mars is to wear neelam, as saturn though

malefic for the lagna does not give any bad effects as it is with Sun

I hope that you have noticed that the ascendent is in the

last degree of leo and it will turn to virgo just three minutes later. Look at

the problem by considering virgo as an ascendent too.

ayurvedic practitioner and an experienced astrologer, if he wants one. I

don't think it's responsible way to give 'prescription' this way, neither would

Iam having a miserable life since past 20 yrs .I have 2 broken marriage behind me .I was holding a good position in a software company , lost my job a year back .. and struggling for one very badly .My current sitution is making my family members torture me a lot .Do I have a hope in life ... my life is very miserable .I am wearing a blue sapphire , white sapphire , gomed , cats eye and a ruby .Please help me .
