I've been a big fan of many of the above, especially Carlos, Elton and

I was also born under GURU-CHANDAL yoga. In my birth chart Jupiter and Ketu

are in virgo. The position of other planets i am also giving. Would be

grateful to know what would be the effect of this combination on me.

Dear Ashutosh,I read your comments about Rahu & Ketu with great interest.In my

daughter's chart, Jupiter is almost exactly conjoined with Ketu in Virgo and

Rahu is conjoined with Mecury in Pisces. She is a Leo lagna, 14Le10. She is

presently going through an extremely stressful period with the start of her

Rahu dasa in Nov 94. Her marriage is on the rocks and heading for a divorce.

There is also a child (of 7 years) custody involved with the father wanting to

keep the child with himself. With all this she is extremely distressed and

worried.

Can you please have a look at her chart below and offer your comments. I'll be

obliged. Thanks.

Dear Chandrasekhar,

The termed Guru-chandal yoga is more

prolifically used for Rahu-Jupiter combination. Ketu is a cruel planet

(kroor grah) but not a malefic (paap grah). It gives benefits but in a harsh

and straightforward way. It is like cutting off a limb which is rotting with

gangrene.

Most of the people have witnessed a death of a terminally ill family

member as soon as ketu dasha or antardasha starts. This is cruel but a

relief for the patient and his family members too. We had seen this when

ketu entered virgo by the death of a comatose girl in USA. The case was

widely publicised and much discussed in this group.

You have ketu-kupiter in 12th house. This yoga makes you highly

religious and spiritual. You are ready to donate for the cause of social

good. It is also forming a Viprit rajyoga, thereby causing some ups and

downs in your life. You will benefit even when all hope is lost.

Dear Vaidun,

It seems that your daughter had problems with her in-laws

which spilled over into her relationships with her husband. Rahu period has

just begun. Though it has calmed down the tempers flared in mars dahsa, the

damage has already been done.

Ketu being exactly conjunct with jupiter, the fight for child's

custody has become an issue to die for. But, the planets are in her favor and

she will get the custody of her child. She should wear a yellow sapphire in

gold ring on index finger of left hand.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I guess that this was not a typical

arranged marrige. The boy and girl must be knowing each other very well before

marriage.

In 1969, most of the people born have had failed or disturbed marriages.

Some reasons are:

- Mars was in scorpio for most part of the year, giving birth to lots of adamant

and stubborn people.

- Saturn was in aries, snatching the ability to enjoy happiness to the fullest

from the native. Such a person is more enamoured by the sad and melancholic

aspects of life.

- Jupiter- ketu combination for first six months of the year. Stubbornness

increased manifolds with critical nature thrown in. Religiousity but with own

terms and conditions. Revolt is a favorite pastime for such people.
