Guest guest
To all members: Recently, I was asked through the email by an acquaintance to determine the muhurta for the best time to fertilize a human ovum through the technologies of artificial insemination. Needless to say, I was clueless in answering this question. Personally, I tend to think that jyotish was designed only for selecting the best time to sow the seed through natural procreation. As such, I referred the individual to see a professional jyotishi with experience in this matter. Do any of the senior members in the group have ideas regarding this subject? Regards, John R. Guest guest
Hey John... I practice and specialize in "infertility" combining TCM with ART (assisted reproductive technologies). I worked with many couples going thru this process, and while it seems like a "mahurta" would be a good thing to use for selecting the best time for fertilization, insemination, and/or transfer of embryos, I often look to the varga chart to determine FIRST if it is even "supportive" for children,...then look to the current dashas and transits. What I have found most helpful with determining the best time for conception is to use the Sun/Moon phase angle at birth. I run astro-fertility charts on all of my paitents. There are TWO times in a month when conception can occur. The stats are higher during the sun/moon phase angle. Last year, I had asked ONE of my ladies (who was open to the "astrology" of things) to see if she could move her insemination date to cooincide with her "phase angle" that was going to cooincide around day THREE of her period. She didn't think her doctor would agree. But in any event, on day THREE of her cycle, she went in for her regularly scheduled "base line" ultrasounds,...and the doctors were surprized that her follical were ripe and ready. They asked her to come in the next morning for the insemination without further need to prescribe the "follistem" (which is what they usually do on day 3 or 5 to prepare the body for either IUI or IVF by mid cycle)... In any event, the IUI was successful. The baby is now 6 months old. After working with the Jonas method for over 30 years,...this was the first time I was able to actually "measure" the cosmic activity via the baseline ultrasound. It's research worth further investigation, for sure! Guest guest
Shabnam, Thanks for your ideas. From what you're saying, it appears that you would rather have Nature take care of all the possibilities rather than humans trying to figure out the probabilities. With jyotish, however, there is the probability that humans can make a slight modification to the birth outcome. For example, About ten years ago, KN Rao stated in one of his lectures that he recommended a couple to undergo a Caesarean operation at a specific time to take advantage of the planetary positions in the horizon to make their baby successful in life. As the couple had requested, the child was doing well in his studies while living with the parents in the USA. Guest guest
Georgette, It appears that you are doing pioneer work in this area of jyotish. You should publish your findings and let other jyotishis and students gain knowledge from your innovative ideas. Guest guest
I wholly agree that Jyotish can be used to decide times for things like insemination and c-section births. Why not? That's what it's for. When advanced humans (those who know Jyotish) use it in this way, they are simply trying to cooperate with the divine, the nature around us, for the best possible outcome. It's natural to do this. It's there for those of us who know it. It's not bad religion, evil, bad science, or misguided. In fact, it's all the opposites of those things. To do it however is personal. There are no fixed positions that are "best". It's a matter of what the parents like. It's there "creation" (5th house). Those who are inclined to Earth and Air will pick those signs and planets to be well placed, and those inclined to Fire and Water will pick those, etc. It's up to the picker. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If a Jyotish does it for them, chances are, they will be picking what they consider "good". So it behooves each person to know Jyotish somewhat for their own benefit. At the very least each intelligent upstanding healthy human should know what their own chart is made of, and what they don't like in life, what doesn't work for them, what their "enemies" (not working well with them) are made of. Avoid that which brings down your health. Take that which raises your health. If possible, children who are like one's own self are easiest to get along with, whereas, having children who have so much 2/12 with oneself will be more difficult though not impossible. By doing things at times when holiness, goodness, are amplified, we align ourselves with the all natural high good of nature, of divinity, and our life gradually improves. You could say "get in line" to "see the divine". That's right. Get in line. That's Muhurtha. It's "alignment". So, you can pick. If you want evil, pick awfulness. If you want good, pick goodness. Jyotish overrides everything including "new medical technologies". There is NOTHING above Jyotish except that energy, thing, person, who OWNS it, who created it, if such a thing truly exists. Guest guest
|| Om Gurave Namah || Dear Georgette, It's really wonderful task you are doing. Please bless us all with more details of your findings. To add something from my knowledge(I don't know if you already know about this) Traditionally Saptamsa is considered important chart for conception. Water elements, Seven of which are mentioned as the rulerso of each of 7 part of Rashi. These water elements are important for procreation. Jaimini says When Sun enters Ketu's Division conception occurs. Maharishi has given it in such a cryptic and short form that I am not sure whether it has to be Navamsa or Saptamsa. The D30 Division is based on Womens Natural cycle is what I was indicated. The 5,5,7,8,5 parts ruled by mars, Saturn etc indicate the menses(bleeding), inactive period(?) by saturn, Jupiter(most fertile) period, etc. Hence D30 is also very important chart for conception is a clue I have. Benefic divisions are good for conception is my thought. Please see if my clues help you any manner.
