Guest guest
Dear Das Namaste! I have just read the e-mail sent to you by Natabara das in which he quotes something you said some time ago, and which I missed since I only joined the Gjlist very recently. It made me very sad to read that you are feeling so lonely at times and I want you to know that you are doing a fantastic job and that you are helping in no small proportion people like me who want to deepen their knowledge of the Vedic Science, and progress on the spiritual path (and my husband too, by the way!). You have set yourself a mission and you are succeeding, of that there is no doubt, so you should be very proud of yoursefl. We all feel lonely at times, even in the middle of a crowd, or surrounded by family or friends, and there is nothing we can do about it. We just have to control it and let it pass (I speak from personal experience..... my Moon is rather 'isolated' in my chart.....) As my astrology teacher says, it is important to relax the heart, and to become less 'rajasic' and more 'satvic'. In this way, we can expect to reduce the anxiety that rajas creates in us, and develop a more peaceful mind which will allow us to face the world, and the problems we create for ourselves, with more serenity. You say in your e-mail that you live in a city where there is no connection with the Hare Krishna movement, or any other form of vedic culture. A few months ago, I bought a book by Swami B. V. Tripurari (a disciple of Srila Prabhupada) entitled "Rasa - Love Relationships in Transcendence". Swami Tripurari founded the Gaudiya Vaishnava Society and much to my surprise, I found that the society is located in Eugene, Oregon. I honestly thought you had something to do with it. In case you don't know about it, here's the address: Sri Sri Gaura-Nityananda Audarya Asrama 325 River Road Eugene, OR 97404 Tel: (503) 461-5760 Das, you do a wonderful job. So, keep it up and remember that you are not alone since there are many people like me who will eternally be grateful to you for giving them the opportunity to share this precious knowledge with you. Kind regards Dany
