The GJ program does not install on Windows 2000. Any fix?

GJ does work on Windows 2000, but you need a current 2.26 CD from us as

I made it windows 2000 compatible sometime within the last year, and I

didn't change the version number. I just made it have this capability,

and left it at 2.26.

 

So anyway, get an update and it will work on Win 2K.

 

If you have a current CD, please make the correct selection, which is

"NT", when installing it. Win 2000 and NT are similar. Win 2K is built

on NT, not Win 9x.

 

Soon the successor to Win 9x will appear, called Windows Millineum or

some such.

Oh yes, 2.26 is our shipping version. Has been for quite some time while

I've been on 3, for the last 1.5 years say, then the last .5 year it was

2000 compatible.

The second link above, is the 2.26 update downlaod page, and it happens

to have the list of changes too.

 

This page is also the 2.26 download. That download only applies to you

if you have 2.2 or later of GJ, full versions, not student, not demos,

and not any version earlier than 2.2. Don't get confused by the version

number for "Omnis" when looking at GJ. Omnis will say 4.5 or 7.3 etc. I

haven't released version 3, what to speak of 4, so don't get confused on

that one. My highest ever version number is 2.26.

 

So this page has a number of things on it, but look for the changes

listed in 2.26, 2.25, etc. Keep scrolling down for more- they're

interspersed within the links for the downloads.

 

Bummer. Not EVERYTHING I've done is listed there. Like Win 2K

compatibility is NOT listed there I think. But it's in 2.26 nowadays, as

mentioned. This list is the original list of things I did in the

versions. Perhaps one or two things got put in at the end and missed the

announcement so to speak.
