Guest guest Report post Posted June 4, 2000 Hello, Here comes my attempt for the chart 35 The ascendent The asendent is rather weak. Saturn its ruler is conjunct the lord of the 8th Moon as maraka and Rahu give a Balarishta or afflicion of the Moon that is not cancelled. The native is also born in the dasa of lord 8 and ascd. lord. We also see that the asc is hemmed in by the malefic influence of Jupiter, a functional malefic. Venus as benefic in a kendra is a positive factor and helped a lot to counter health problems in infancy; a strong 1st lord also helped a lot. There seem to be a congenital weakness or something inherited from the parents. The general health In this chart Vata is very strong. Rahu in the first. A vata sign in the 6th. Mars also in Vatasign and aspecting 6th and 12th (Jamimini). Jupiter R in the 6th is bad for health. It can indicate lung and respiratory problems. Mars in Virgo can indicate intestinal problems and lord of 6th in scorpio problems with reproductive organs. With a closer look at the 6th we see a retrograde Jupiter wo acts as a functional malefic, also a lord of a trikhouse in another trikhouse. He is also badly placed in most divisional charts. Jupiter is also lord of the 22th drekkana. He is also Gnatikaraka in the Jaimini system. Mercury as lord of the 6th falls with Ketu in Navamsa The Navamsa doesn't give a better picture for health and we see the Venus/Saturn pair in most divisional charts, especially in the dwadashamsa in the sixth they can indicate some inherited weakness from the parents. So good health is not the strongest point in this chart but there are many remedial measures like appropriate way of living, diet, etc.The more, this native looks intelligent so she can certainly cope and find a way to stay healthy. The mental outlook This person doesn't seem happy and content. Moon with Rahu gives a good amount of fears, phobias and nervousness. This mental instability and nervousness is also seen by Mercury and Mars who exchange signs and are thus strong. Jupiter in Mercury, also a mental sign cannot bring much peace of mind. The 4th house, the house of mind and inner happyness gets aspects from Mars and Saturn and Ketu sits in the 4th sign. So this person has to cope with an overactive and sometimes erratic mind. But with the strong Saturn she can keep things under control. She probably is an seeker, doing research. Studying and research are probably done in relation to history, or ancient litterature(I've seen so many ketus in Cancer interested in history)She can also be a good writer and eventually get some reknown through publishing the results of her research. As she cannot stay quiet very long, she probably moves and travels a lot. Her mental activity is rather exhausting for her system but she is driven to achieve (10th house) The relationship with the parents doesn't seem very happy. Mars in Mercury's sign in the 9th doesn't indicate a happy relationship with father. If we look at the karakas (Matri and Putra) representing the parents, we see that they land up under Saturn's influence. So the native grew up in a family were work, religion, duty came in the first place. Joy seems to have been lacking during childhood. The relation with the mother is also spoiled; she probably never tolerated extravagancies. Married life For a female it's always interesting to look at the "feminine" planets Moon and Venus. They have been discussed already but the Saturnian influence also blocks the normal development of all feminine qualities like emotion, sensitivity, feelings, etc Because this person has not developped her feminine side she cannot relate in an adult way in a relationship. She must have a childish behaviour : wants to be taken care off, wants to be loved like a little child (something she missed), can be very possessive. Some males can be attrackted to an imature girl but when life becomes a bit difficult problems start. So I think that married life has not been happy. This does'nt mean that the person never was in a relationship but I don't think it lasted. The nodal axis through the 1/7 houses is not good for relationship either Succes in profession This is the chart of somebody who has put all her energy in social and profesional achievement. I think she has made it through much efforts but has succeeded and has a certain reknown in her field. Her profession consists of mental and intellectual work, probably research and eventually publishing because Mars and Jupiter are very active in Mercury's signs. The dashamsa is also very strong Lord of 1st and 10th aspecting 10th . Sun (6th - work) and Mars (2nd and 9th) are also aspecting the 10th. Note that the Moon stays unsatisfied with the nodal axis or in Saturn's sign in most of the divisional charts. Even if this person has a good professional life, she still is unhappy and unfulfilled. As to what started on the 2th of may 76 and the event that followed on the 10th of julyI will opt for the following : There are of course strong tendencies for bad health in this chart but we all have have them in a more or less severe concentration. This doesn' mean that we are necessarily ill. I've seen charts worst afflicted and natives living happily to a ripe old age. As this person seems to have a lot of resistance through Saturn who is a planet that grows better by growing older, I don't think it was a health issue, especially because in 1976 the native was only 22 years old. This is rather an age for becoming independent and finishing studying. It is of course also an age for romance. I think the native started a project in may, she worked towards a goal, probably with the help of somebody else. This was a period of hard work but it was rewarded in July by the positive results obtained. She was in a Rahu/Jupiter period and Rahu in the 1st is desire to be seen or recognized. Jupiter as lord of the 3th, also a "desire" house can have given the native the stamina to achieve something to make her known of famous in a way. Rahu also is one of her best periods of achievement. Even if it is not favorable for happyness and peace of mind, malefics can be excellent for succes and achievement. Jogini dasa was also Saturn (the self) and Jupiter I see one of these scenarios: She started studying in may and passed her exams in July and obtained a degree She started writing an article that was published in July When I look at the Muddha dasha periods of the Varshaphal chart, this period comes under Venus and Sun, both in the 10th house of achievements There could be some variations on this theme but I am inclined to stick to an achievement rather than to healthproblems.
