In addition to the enlightened comments of Satya I'll add a few points .

The Lord of the 1st(house of life and the body) Jupiter represnts life has

gone to the 12th the house of loss .Jupiter is further weakened by it's

debilitation in Navamsa .THe Sun as indicator of Royalty is strong in it's

MT sign and Mercury Lord of the 10th is exalted .This gives him immense

status . Moon Lord of the 8th(longevity and charisma) is exalted making him

likeable but it's placement in the 6th a dusthana is bad for longevity

..Mars deblitated in the 8th(house of death) is a double whammy since Mars

rules vehicles and short journeys .James Dean( who the jester sang for the

king and queen in a coat he borrowed from) also had Mars in Cancer for a

Virgo Lagna where Mars rules the 8th(house of death).

 

Rahu the mahadasha Lord is a malefic in 1st house and will act like Jupiter

already mentioned .Venus the bhukti Lord is debilitated and therefore weak

to offer protection .The Sun indicator for the body and PD lord is

debilitated in Navamsa which can cause good results to collapse . Mercury

is maraka for Sagittarius Lagna .

 

It's relatively very easy to read this chart .

I'm looking at the chart of Buddy Holly. It's puzzling. He was born on

9/7/1936 in Lubbock Texas (USA)at 3:30 PM. His mars is severely debilitated

 

in Cancer in eighth house. The outer planet Pluto is also in that house.

There are no planets in the twelfth: Lagna at 17 degrees Sagittarius. Oh,

taurus moon in the sixth house. There is Arishta Bhanga in this chart with

saturn in the third in Aquarius.

 

 

For anyone who hasn't heard of this guy he was a rock and roll singer who

died in a plane crash on Feb 3, 1959. He was very famous in life, and the

plane crash was SUDDEN -- very short life, he died at 22.

 

Okay.

 

 

Vimshottari Dasha periods and subperiods are as follows:

Rahu/Ven/Sun/Mercury.

 

Rahu in the first house in Sagittarius

Venus in the tenth in Virgo

Sun in the tenth in Leo

Mercury in the ninth in Virgo

 

 

So there is nothing in the dashas that touch his bad mars and the planets

in

the dashas are all in good houses. It seems like there should be some

indication here that this happened, it's kind of an enormous event in his

life.

 

I have to be missing something -- what?

Vox, this is a great help for me in learning to read charts. I enjoyed the

question, as well as the music!
