Me too. I think people are living in a dream, or at least they must be,

because I can't seem to express to them how short life is, how fragile and

precious. In fact, I don't want to -- it seems good for people to be able to

troop off to their jobs and have their dinners and so forth with no

conception of a final moment. Who am I to ruin it? There is no seeming

explanation for this: I am 35, in good health, without any real trauma in

life to compare death to, such as victims of PTSD have, or a person who has

survived a war.

But it's always there, anyway, I think of it every day. I wonder about it and

feel that some percentage of my mind is always preparing for that moment. I

am not like you; I have no religious training. I am just this way.

Namaskara Raghu Das,

Regarding marriage compatibility, you wrote:

>And one famous astrologer looked at mine [horoscope] and pronounced

immediately >"You will NEVER have happiness in marriage". OK, thanks

buddy. I've had tons of

>happiness in relationships, and marriage.

It is easy to see why/how the astrologer pronounced this in your case: In

your chart, Venus is in an inimical Rasi and Navamsa, in Mrita Avastha,

with its final dispositor conjoined Rx Saturn. Then, in Navamsa, Venus in

6th with Saturn, and Rahu in 7th. Then again in the Rasi chart, Moon is in

a Saturnine sign with Ketu, aspected by Saturn, and in Navamsa in Saturnine

sign, also aspected by Saturn. In fact, you have two powerful yogas for

asceticism (Parivrajya yoga), one in the birth chart, and the other in the

Navamsa chart. Additionally, due to the powerful Parijata yoga, initiated

by Venus in your chart, attainment of life's ultimate goal comes due to

renunciation of marriage (Sannyas).

So the question that comes to mind is (and this is purely for astrological

reference), how, or in which areas, have you had "tons of happiness in

marriage and relationships"?

With regards,

Robert

Dear Robert,

Now that is the best letter I've ever seen on the list, because:

It was very challenging. No problem, you picked someone who is currently

able to handle it.

Also, it showed faith in what Shastra says, and I applaud you loudly for that.

Also, it gives me the opportunity to talk about myself, which I always

enjoy like an idiot.

Anyway...

When I said I've had tons of happiness in marriage, well, I meant, in a

humble mood I'm saying, I've had happy times with the family. I still

raise my kids, and though it's hard, I have to love them and I do. I

embrace the whole experience on one level.

But yes, according to normal standards, I've had terrible marital karma.

I won't go into it. But if one marriage, and standard happy proceedings

of the marriage and family life according to say Vedic or even Christian

Western standards is used, no, I've had it pretty bad by those

standards, and it looks like it continues in difficult ways. True. But

not ALL bad. There is my quota of blessings mixed in there, and those

are mine.

Yes, I have heavy Sannyas Yoga presence in the chart. It's very thick,

as you said, the Moon is fully Saturnized, Rashi and Navamsa. There is

also religious worker Yogas very much so. I've already been, like you,

into these things, and continue to be so. I find the process of adult

life, raising kids, business, dealing with the Western world mental

reality, and it's lack of deep spiritual values, very uncomfortable and

stressful.

I do see death as always "just around the corner". So all in all, my

thinking goes the way of total religion. I see no other choice. So here

my chart speaks that stuff in writing, with me as the witness.

I really loved your letter, because you basically said, so I thought I

heard, that "if the Vedas say this about your chart dude, then how is it

possible what you said about your marital life".

I think that's what you said. I love the devotion to Sastra in that. And

you know what, you're right.

But it's a high principle that I try to keep, to try to appreciate what

one does get as their quota of blessings. In that mood, I have many

golden memories and good lessons. That's what I own. I have to call it

precious. That mood.

Astrologically speaking, I misled the audience and you caught it. Bravo.

Really. Good call. And I aint hurt. No problem. Lovin it.

Thanks,

Perhaps some basic thing is possible.Shukra casts full aspect over its own

house, and it is placed in lagna. It still gives some amount of happiness, more

so that guru which is involved in brahma yoga, sends full graha dristi.Shukra

is having subhargal over lagnesh mars.Brahma yoga in the chart, can give the

answer. It is formed in 9.house from lagna/and 7.house from upapada lagna

in Das case.Of course the affliction Robert stated stand true.

Best wishes,

Zoran

Dear Friends,

I see at the Amazon.com site that Robert Svoboda and Hart Defouw are to

publish a book in October this year called Light on Relationships: The

Synastry of Jyotisha. Something to look forward to!

I have to also recommend Robert Svoboda's books. They are all great. He is

a very intelligent and knowledgeable writer. He has written about Jyotish,

Ayurveda and Tantra. I am currently reading his Aghora trilogy which is the

story of his relationship with his guru Vimalananda. It is much like

Autobiography of a Yogi, but not targetted at the general populace.

So for a good read get these books!

Regards,

Andrew.
