Young Prithu's Passing

Dear Devotees,

 

We are sad to announce that young Prithu, son of Ramachandra dasa and

Padmalocana dasi passed away at 10:36 AM on Monday (January 24, 2005) due to

complications from injuries he received in the car accident he was in on

Wednesday, January 12th. .

 

 

 

Prithu, a second generation devotee, is survived by his mother Padma, elder

brother Hanuman, elder sister Lalita and his grandma Verval Rae Garrett who

lives in the home with the family. He was 19 Years old when he passed from

this world.

 

 

 

Prithu is very much loved by the community of devotees here in Alachua. He

is known and remembered for his easy-going good nature and friendliness.

Prithu also has friends and acquaintances around the world because in recent

years he traveled the world, along with many of his friends, under the care

and direction of His Grace Rtadhvaja Swami. We will all miss his smiling

face and gentle way.

 

 

 

If you have any digital photos, thoughts, prayers, short remembrances or

anecdotal stories about Prithu that you would like to share, please email

the next issue of Alachua Krishna Community News and to be compiled as a

gift for the family of Prithu.

 

 

 

Everyone is welcome to attend the funeral ceremonies both at the temple and

at the funeral home.

 

 

 

Schedule for Prthu Prabhu's Funeral

 

Wednesday, January 26th, 2005

 

 

 

3:30 pm..............Prthu Prabhu's body will Arrive at the temple

 

3:30-6:00pm.......Parikrama, offering of flowers, offering of Arati, and

speaking remembrances of Prthu

 

6:00 pm..............Travel to the funeral home

 

6:30-7:00 pm......Cremation ceremony at the funeral home and Kirtan

(3 blocks south of University Avenue on Main Street)

 

 

 

Financial contributions are needed by the family, at this time, to cover the

expenses of: the funeral, a Sunday Feast in Prithu's honor, Padma's travel

to India with Prithu's ashes, and income lost during this family crisis.

 

 

 

Donations can be given in three ways:

 

 

 

1) Donations can be given directly to Hari Priya devi dasi, Kirtiraja

das, Akincana Krishna das, Keshihanta das, Ballavhi Ogle, or Rama Vigraha
