Mahashivaratri in the USA

Dear All,

 

I would like to know when exactly Mahashivaratri falls in the US, because

most people seem to consider it to be the 26th night, but I have heard from

one other source that trayodashi actually ends on the 25th night at 11:59 pm

on the west coast, and that 26th in the US is actually chaturdashi. Input

from the knowledgeable ones would be appreciated.

You did not mention where you live in the US............The US has two or three

different time zones.......if you want to know exactly when at the place where

you live then you need to contact your local temple.........if you do not have

a local temple go to www.hindumandir.us and find temple in your time zone and

ask Temple Priest and you will have your answer
