Well I've wrecked my brain and spent alot of money trying every which way, and my beloved daughter does not believe in anything that I do or believe. I came across a Shastri from 'Bhuvaneshwari' Temple in Bombay, he is visiting US and Canada, and through him and with his advice, I sent money to have 'Kaal saarp' pooja done in India during Navaratri. This is the only place where they can do the pooja without my daughter's presence. So Sis, if you are interested, I will ask this Shastriji, and forward you his cell number, and see if you can have your pooja done too. By the way Navaratri begins this Friday. You'll have to come up with the bucks real fast. He is sending some 'small' rudraksha beads for me and my daughter to wear. My daughter will be wearing it as wrist bracelet. Lemme know ASAP, Sis. And the explanation that he gave is my chart is boundered by Raahu and Kethu. What are the illeffects of this yoga? I have a 9 faced Rudhraksha bead which I wear in my long mangalya soothra chain and I keep it in my pooja stand where I do a small panchopachara pooja every day. I use only this Rudraksha though I have a 5 faced (small) mala with a GowriShankar pendant etc What should I do? pls advice? I will have to ask this Shastriji, prior to giving out his telephone # and e-mail address. However, he is sending infor, to India to have 'Kaal Saarp' pooja done for my daughter. I will call him today and if he says that it is OK to share his telephone with with the group, or individuals afflicted by this 'yoga'. However, in the meantime, do not waste time, as in India Navaratri begins today, and if you'd like to have your pooja done during this Navaratri, then hurry up and send them your funds. Navaratri is a very powerful time of the year, and will be auspicious, according to what they tell me. You couldn't go wrong with any of the 'Bhuvaneshwari' temples, Bhuvaneswari is another name for Parvati, very powerful, the devotees are super nice, Bhuvaneshwari will not allow any cheating in her temple, with money etc. Later. But, I think an astrologer once told me that having a kala sarpa yoga essentially means that all of the planets are on one side of the axis created by rahu and ketu. This creates a strong conflict between material and spiritual desires, which can cause problems and discomfort. Two points: 1) As Kantiji often used to remind me (til she UTTERLY convinced me <g>), spiritual practices such as meditation, pujam, and wearing the beads take us PAST the limitations of the birth chart, and into the realm of limitlessness. That is, one may start out bound by those karmic energies (or, just FEELING bound, which is pretty much the same thing). But one may, transcend them. The karma falls away, like a worn-out garment. It really does. I sometimes use the example of my own chart. I am in Rahu/Rahu, now. I was advised that it would be a painful and disasterous period-- probably the worst of this incarnation. Instead, I find that it is satisfying, fruitful, and happy. That doesn't mean there isn't a fair degree of "growth pain." And, a lot of head and heart "closet cleaning" is having to be done. But, this are good and necessary. 2) "Malefic" chart indications often also represent the best opportunities. Consider the example of Paul McCartney. He was born with a kala sarpa yoga (of which he is purportedly unaware). He used the conflict between the material and the spiritual to get rich through his talents, and got into meditation to satisfy his spiritual needs. As Lada astutely observed, one doesn't know what may really be going on with anyone. But,it does appear that he has tried to make the most of a karmic challenge/opportunity, and has apparently gained something from it. With regard to the beads: You have a nine, which pacifies Ketu. You might consider an eight, which would pacify Rahu. Or, there's the Aum Shanti combination of 10,11,and 12, which control and pacify ALL the planets. Don't forget prayer and meditation, for alignment with God. A Jyotishi once told me that the best astrological remedy of all is prayer. BTW-- For protection, I was recently advised to listen to the Chandi Path (on CD in Sanscrit) every day of the Navratri, and read it (in English) as well. I was told that morning is best. I don't know if I am/have Kall Saarp Yoga or not but know that I am in my own personal hell and would love some light shined down here to help get me out!
