Use of Gems in Proper Hand

By Capt. Manas Ranjan Swain

Gemology or study about Gems is not a new subject for us. But the

wearing of the gems in the proper finger and hand has become a matter

of dispute among gemologists and astrologers in the world. While one

set of people suggest it should be worn in the right hand for males

and left hand for females, the other set (mostly western astrologers)

draw our attention by putting us in a more complex situation. They say

that, one should wear the gems in the hand which is his or her active

hand. Here active hand means the hand which executes the more

important works such as, writing, eating, beating, playing, etc. In

between those two sets of people, one more set emerges by holding

another self claimed truth that Gem of male planets like Jupiter,

Mars, Sun and Saturn should be worn in right hand and that of Venus,

Moon in the left hand. Every body claims to be right in their own way.

But whether our clients are satisfied after wearing our recommended

Gems by following any of these methods? It is not surprising, that

most of them return with a gloomy face, questioning our judgment in

selecting the Gems or some even demand their money back doubting the

authenticity of the stone in case the Gem is given by us. Here a poor

astrologer or gemologist as the case may be, may drive to frenzy to

see what went among. You might be correct in your selection of gems

and the gem might be an authenticate one, but it is true, most of us

face the wrath of our dear clients and it ultimately leads to the

detriment of astrology and gemology as a science. It is not uncommon

to see an Aries native having Jupiter in Cancer after wearing a yellow

sapphire or a Taurus native with Saturn in Aquarius after wearing of

blue sapphire, in spite of both the planets being the yogakarakas

still dragging in life. Why does this happen? Vedic Astrology can

definitely help us in here. After 20 years of experience in this

field, I am having some conclusions and when it is applied on humans

earnestly it is giving amazing results. I would like to share this

with my colleagues and other gemologists cum astrologers. My first

interest was more focused on the using of proper hand rather than the

fingers because almost all the astrologers have the same view when it

comes to decide the correct fingers for a specific Gem, with a little

variation.

>From Vedic Astrology we learnt that the first six houses starting from

Lagna to the sixth house are the right side of a male native and the

other six signs remaining starting from the 7th house to the 12th

house is the left side of the male native. Reverse is in the case of a

female native. If the 12th house is the left eye or foot of a male

then the 2nd house is the right eye or foot of a male. So we can wear

the Gems according to the placement of planets for a particular

native. For example, a male Aries Lagna native is having Jupiter in

the 4th house, i.e., Cancer, which is his right side of the body. He

should wear the Yellow Sapphire in his right hand is index finger but,

if the Jupiter is placed in 9th house (Sagittarius) for another Aries

Lagna native then he should wear it in his index finger of the left

hand because 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th houses are the left

side of the body. To support this we can further take the help of Gem

therapy. Ruby is worn to fight against ulcers, heart troubles, bone

troubles, nose bleeding, tooth decay, etc. Suppose a man is

prescribed by an astrologer to wear a Ruby for certain disease which

is at his left part of the body. If the Sun is in any of the six

houses from Lagna then the Gem will fail to serve the purpose.

Because, the Ruby will hardly incite any healing as its placement is

opposite side to the place of the disease. This is nothing but as same

as what we some times predict that there will be surgery or

afflictions to left ear or ankles when a malefic Mars or Moon is in

the 11th House. Because 11th House is the left side of the man and

when a planet is placed in the left side of the horoscope it certainly

invigorates the left side of the body part.

There is another interesting point to ponder also. Some may be forced

to say that if the above theory is having its supporting points then

there is more to offer in this regard with a slight variation. We know

that the rasis grouped as Male and Female rasis. As Aries is Male,

Taurus is female and so on. Here in this case the selection of the

hand is done accordingly to the position of the planets in a male or

female sign. So a male native of a Taurus lagna can wear a diamond in

his left hand if the Venus is in any of the female rasis i.e. Taurus,

Cancer, Virgo, etc. Also a Virgo native with Mercury in Lagna should

wear an emerald in his left hand, as Virgo is a female sign. This

would be disastrous to an extent. Generally, we advice a native about

the possibility of a heart surgery if he has severely afflicted Sun or

Mars in his the 5th house of the horoscope. Some may question about

the correctness of this prediction, because the 5th house is the right

side of a man and the heart is in the left side of the body. Then how

the Mars in 5th house can be connected to an organ which is on the

left side of the body, i.e. heart? Here, we know that there are some

body parts which are only of one in numbers such as heart, brain,

spleen, liver etc. And these body parts are connected to particular

houses not withstanding with the right or left side of the body. So,

during the selection of the astral Gems we need to be careful in

finding the correct hand keeping in view of these things also. Another

point to note that in Bhava charts the planets position differs from

their position in the rasi charka. For example, In Bhava chart if the

Jupiter is in the 7th for a Delhi born native he may be in the 6th or

8th house for a different native born in a different place, other than

Delhi in Bhava-chart. So in the Bhava chart the position of planets is

different for different persons if persons born exactly in the same

time and same date but in a different place. See how specific the

Vedic Astrology is. In a variation of minutes the Bhava-chart changes

for a same time, same day, but different place of birth for two

persons. It is not like two persons are born under the same rasi even

if they are born in different dates, different times and at different

places. Like this the wearing of Gems is different for different

persons if born in the same time, same date but at a different place.

Therefore the Rasi Based Theory has no logic behind it. It will be

unwelcome and unconvincing to each and every body if one suggests

everyone to wear a yellow sapphire in the index finger of the left

hand if the Jupiter is in cancer-a female sign. So we should out

rightly refuse to accept this logic.

The selection of Gems should be very specific. It should not be

correct for every Tom, Dick and Harry to wear a stone if they have a

specific planet at particularly exact sign. Here the Bhava-chart

provides better results than the Rasi-chart in selecting an astral

gem. A particular finger is assigned to a particular planet. I

remember Princess Diana‚s horoscope in a distinct way. She had Scorpio

Lagna with Venus in the 7th House. It is said that the 7th house is

the right side of a female. Further, the 7th house has the deadly

killing power for every horoscope. So when one wears a Gem signified

by the lord of the 7th house who at the same time does not own

another benefic sign in the horoscope, then the person certainly

becomes the favorite of the lord of Death. For a Scorpio Lagna native

Venus owns the 7th and 12th house. Venus is decidedly malefic with

having the killing power for Scorpio Lagna. When the native wears

Diamond, i.e. the Gem of Venus, the death inflictiveness of Venus gets

cosmically charged. Diana wore the stone as a gift of love from late

Mr. Al Dodi Fayed, her new fiancé, at a restaurant. But, she made a

double fault. One, it was a wrong Gem for Princess Diana. Two, she

wore it in the wrong hand, i.e., the left hand, as usually ladies wear

the engagement ring in their left hand. It is close to the saying,

Œlook gift horses in the mouth‚. Venus signifies vehicle. The 7th

house signifies travels. The Diamond was costly and powerful enough

which showed its integrity within no time. We all know that she died

with her boy friend in a Mercedes Benz, while chased after by

paparazzi as she came out from the restaurant to vacate the place to

avoid the journalists cum photographers. It is as if Venus was waiting

for them to sit in their car and start moving. Unless there is a

supporting hand from the lords of 3rd, 7th, 9th and 12th Houses on the

death inflicting planets (s), (here in this case Venus), then death

may be through a vehicle but during a static condition. It is not

unusual for us to find a vehicle at road side parking receives a

collision suddenly from another moving vehicle or a previously fitted

bomb exploded inside the vehicle at a parking lot or a standstill

vehicle was destroyed by an air-missile or a vehicle suddenly drowned

at a hinterland by tidal waves like Tsunami or Katrina, which is a

normal occurring at a river valley, which happens by a rise of sea

level relative to the land. All accidents are said to be on static

conditions. If there is an aspect or conjunction of the lords of 3rd,

7th, 9th & 12th houses on the marakas or death inflicting planets,

then the death presumably happens during a dynamic or moving condition.

Dear Srimanji,

Namaste!!! This information is not new. There are many books,

including my own, which give this information. If you see:

http://www.p-g-a.org/reference.html

There are many old books which give this basic information. I

personally wear a ring... it is useful provided one has the right

prescription and jyotish quality gem... then it is useful.

Re: Use of Gems in Proper Hand

Dear Srimanji,Namaste!!! This information is not new. There are many

books, including my own, which give this information. If you

see:http://www.p-g-a.org/reference.htmlThere are many old books which give this

basic information. Ipersonally wear a ring... it is useful provided one has the

rightprescription and jyotish quality gem... then it is useful.Best

Namaste Manasji,

(influence) between horoscope houses and body parts.

Use of Gems in Proper Hand By Capt. Manas Ranjan Swain Gemology or study about

Gems is not a new subject for us. But thewearing of the gems in the proper

finger and hand has become a matterof dispute among gemologists and astrologers

in the world. While oneset of people suggest it should be worn in the right hand

for malesand left hand for females, the other set (mostly western

astrologers)draw our attention by putting us in a more complex situation. They

saythat, one should wear the gems in the hand which is his or her activehand.

Here active hand means the hand which executes the moreimportant works such as,

writing, eating, beating, playing, etc. Inbetween those two sets of people, one

more set emerges by holdinganother self claimed truth that Gem of male planets

like Jupiter,Mars, Sun and Saturn should be worn in right hand and that of

Venus,Moon in the left hand. Every body claims to be right in their own way.But

whether our clients are satisfied after wearing our recommendedGems by following

any of these methods? It is not surprising, thatmost of them return with a

gloomy face, questioning our judgment inselecting the Gems or some even demand

their money back doubting theauthenticity of the stone in case the Gem is given

by us. Here a poorastrologer or gemologist as the case may be, may drive to

frenzy tosee what went among. You might be correct in your selection of gemsand

the gem might be an authenticate one, but it is true, most of usface the wrath

of our dear clients and it ultimately leads to thedetriment of astrology and

gemology as a science. It is not uncommonto see an Aries native having Jupiter

in Cancer after wearing a yellowsapphire or a Taurus native with Saturn in

Aquarius after wearing ofblue sapphire, in spite of both the planets being the

yogakarakasstill dragging in life. Why does this happen? Vedic Astrology

candefinitely help us in here. After 20 years of experience in thisfield, I am

having some conclusions and when it is applied on humansearnestly it is giving

amazing results. I would like to share thiswith my colleagues and other

gemologists cum astrologers. My firstinterest was more focused on the using of

proper hand rather than thefingers because almost all the astrologers have the

same view when itcomes to decide the correct fingers for a specific Gem, with a

littlevariation. From Vedic Astrology we learnt that the first six houses

starting fromLagna to the sixth house are the right side of a male native and

theother six signs remaining starting from the 7th house to the 12thhouse is

the left side of the male native. Reverse is in the case of afemale native. If

the 12th house is the left eye or foot of a malethen the 2nd house is the right

eye or foot of a male. So we can wearthe Gems according to the placement of

planets for a particularnative. For example, a male Aries Lagna native is

having Jupiter inthe 4th house, i.e., Cancer, which is his right side of the

body. Heshould wear the Yellow Sapphire in his right hand is index finger

but,if the Jupiter is placed in 9th house (Sagittarius) for another AriesLagna

native then he should wear it in his index finger of the lefthand because 7th,

8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th houses are the leftside of the body. To support

this we can further take the help of Gemtherapy. Ruby is worn to fight against

ulcers, heart troubles, bonetroubles, nose bleeding, tooth decay, etc. Suppose

a man isprescribed by an astrologer to wear a Ruby for certain disease whichis

at his left part of the body. If the Sun is in any of the sixhouses from Lagna

then the Gem will fail to serve the purpose.Because, the Ruby will hardly

incite any healing as its placement isopposite side to the place of the

disease. This is nothing but as sameas what we some times predict that there

will be surgery orafflictions to left ear or ankles when a malefic Mars or Moon

is inthe 11th House. Because 11th House is the left side of the man andwhen a

planet is placed in the left side of the horoscope it certainlyinvigorates the

left side of the body part. There is another interesting point to ponder

also. Some may be forcedto say that if the above theory is having its

supporting points thenthere is more to offer in this regard with a slight

variation. We knowthat the rasis grouped as Male and Female rasis. As Aries is

Male,Taurus is female and so on. Here in this case the selection of thehand is

done accordingly to the position of the planets in a male orfemale sign. So a

male native of a Taurus lagna can wear a diamond inhis left hand if the Venus

is in any of the female rasis i.e. Taurus,Cancer, Virgo, etc. Also a Virgo

native with Mercury in Lagna shouldwear an emerald in his left hand, as Virgo

is a female sign. Thiswould be disastrous to an extent. Generally, we advice a

native aboutthe possibility of a heart surgery if he has severely afflicted Sun

orMars in his the 5th house of the horoscope. Some may question aboutthe

correctness of this prediction, because the 5th house is the rightside of a man

and the heart is in the left side of the body. Then howthe Mars in 5th house can

be connected to an organ which is on theleft side of the body, i.e. heart? Here,

we know that there are somebody parts which are only of one in numbers such as

heart, brain, spleen, liver etc. And these body parts are connected to

particularhouses not withstanding with the right or left side of the body.

So,during the selection of the astral Gems we need to be careful infinding the

correct hand keeping in view of these things also. Anotherpoint to note that in

Bhava charts the planets position differs fromtheir position in the rasi charka.

For example, In Bhava chart if theJupiter is in the 7th for a Delhi born native

he may be in the 6th or8th house for a different native born in a different

place, other thanDelhi in Bhava-chart. So in the Bhava chart the position of

planets isdifferent for different persons if persons born exactly in the

sametime and same date but in a different place. See how specific theVedic

Astrology is. In a variation of minutes the Bhava-chart changesfor a same time,

same day, but different place of birth for twopersons. It is not like two

persons are born under the same rasi evenif they are born in different dates,

different times and at differentplaces. Like this the wearing of Gems is

different for differentpersons if born in the same time, same date but at a

different place. Therefore the Rasi Based Theory has no logic behind it. It will

beunwelcome and unconvincing to each and every body if one suggestseveryone to

wear a yellow sapphire in the index finger of the lefthand if the Jupiter is in

cancer-a female sign. So we should outrightly refuse to accept this logic.

The selection of Gems should be very specific. It should not becorrect for

every Tom, Dick and Harry to wear a stone if they have aspecific planet at

particularly exact sign. Here the Bhava-chartprovides better results than the

Rasi-chart in selecting an astralgem. A particular finger is assigned to a

particular planet. Iremember Princess Diana‚s horoscope in a distinct way. She

had ScorpioLagna with Venus in the 7th House. It is said that the 7th house

isthe right side of a female. Further, the 7th house has the deadlykilling

power for every horoscope. So when one wears a Gem signifiedby the lord of the

7th house who at the same time does not ownanother benefic sign in the

horoscope, then the person certainlybecomes the favorite of the lord of Death.

For a Scorpio Lagna nativeVenus owns the 7th and 12th house. Venus is decidedly

malefic withhaving the killing power for Scorpio Lagna. When the native

wearsDiamond, i.e. the Gem of Venus, the death inflictiveness of Venus

getscosmically charged. Diana wore the stone as a gift of love from lateMr. Al

Dodi Fayed, her new fiancé, at a restaurant. But, she made adouble fault. One,

it was a wrong Gem for Princess Diana. Two, shewore it in the wrong hand, i.e.,

the left hand, as usually ladies wearthe engagement ring in their left hand. It

is close to the saying,Œlook gift horses in the mouth‚. Venus signifies

vehicle. The 7thhouse signifies travels. The Diamond was costly and powerful

enoughwhich showed its integrity within no time. We all know that she diedwith

her boy friend in a Mercedes Benz, while chased after bypaparazzi as she came

out from the restaurant to vacate the place toavoid the journalists cum

photographers. It is as if Venus was waitingfor them to sit in their car and

start moving. Unless there is asupporting hand from the lords of 3rd, 7th, 9th

and 12th Houses on thedeath inflicting planets (s), (here in this case Venus),

then deathmay be through a vehicle but during a static condition. It is

notunusual for us to find a vehicle at road side parking receives acollision

suddenly from another moving vehicle or a previously fittedbomb exploded inside

the vehicle at a parking lot or a standstillvehicle was destroyed by an

air-missile or a vehicle suddenly drownedat a hinterland by tidal waves like

Tsunami or Katrina, which is anormal occurring at a river valley, which happens

by a rise of sealevel relative to the land. All accidents are said to be on

staticconditions. If there is an aspect or conjunction of the lords of 3rd,7th,

9th & 12th houses on the marakas or death inflicting planets, then the death

presumably happens during a dynamic or moving condition. Capt. Manas Ranjan
