Dear Durgesh i find your comments to be over-generalized no-one can deny that wolves are carnivores and also display intense social bonds in Africa, there are also several primates that are omnivores, and are similarly sociable, as well as hyenas and the African dog, to but name a few further, in human development, it was perhaps big-game hunting that was the first true example of a collective working together t6o achieve a common aim on the other hand, it is only among the herbivores, e.g. mountain goats/sheep, walruses, that undergo intense battles for social supremacy, i.e. the seasonal rut prior to mating - you don't see this among carnivores, where the hierarchy is firmly established; in fact, you could say that the elders are respected, venerated and cared for among carnivores, whereas in herbivores, the elders are usurped from their position of status, and are left to fend for themselves perhaps vegetarianism causing fighting, revolution and disrespect for the elderly? (tongue in cheek - no reply needed ;-) > > 2) A point was made that an average Indian is miserable. I do not > think we can > equate it with food. Guest guest
Hyenas - wolves - and other pack animals spend a great deal of their time fighting and viciously contending with each other. Herds are much more peaceful in their nature. Still these issues have nothing to do with whether it is good or better for man to eat flesh or vehetables and milk.
