Hi,

Me and my wife are both having a low body immunity system....we contract

frequent colds, throat infections, eye infections etc...all in all there is no

feeling of general well being in day to day life... the body feels tired and

pain in legs and lack of energy..we both are just 25 yrs of age....all this is

also affecting our sex lives adversely..we dont have inclination and vitality

for active sex !!!!!

Its only been 3 months since we got married and I feel our energies have

declined after marriage !!!

Are there any general medicines to increase the body immunity and strength ??

more than medicines is there any particualr diet plan which will help us in the

long run.

Thanks in advance,

Saurabh

getting married can be a stressful, exciting event. Its common for prople to

experience such symptoms after periods of intense emotional stress.

your symptoms might be a way that your body is telling u to relax and take it

easy for

awhile, to restore balance

beyond this, there a whole variety of issues that could be causing your problem,

but

the common etiology in Ayurvedic medicine relates to the accumulation of ama

thus, a short 10-12 day detoxification regimen is probably a good idea, avoiding

dairy, flour, fried oils, and all sugars, and taking 1 tsp of triphala twice a

day, in a

little warm water, making sure the bowels are moving

meditate in the AM, do stretching and yoga, take deep relaxing breaths

spend time away from the city, in the country or mountains, next to water

laugh together

if you can, abstain from sex during this period, but give each other massages

let the intensity of your shared sexuality build, but don't release it

get to bed early and give all your worries to your higher power

after this initial period of detoxification, consider some of the anabolic

(brimhana)

remedies recommended previously, including ashvagandha, shatavari and tila

(sesame), 5 g each, decocted in a little milk and taken with ghee

after, limit sex to 1-3 x a week, less often as the weather gets too hot

Dear Saurabh,

You have attracted attention to a topic which many group members may

not be aware. I believe Todd knows about connection between astrology

and ayurveda, since he brought it in his one mail related

to 'Prakruti' and 'Vikruti'. The post from Bonnie, another active member of our

group, gave lead to your case. Since ultimately some innocent child may suffer,

this post became inevitable.

I am doing research on this topic for last nine years, following the

birth of several children with brain and spinal problems. Since research has not

yet reached mature stage, the conclusions are not yet posted.

Indian astrology has devised a beautiful system of horoscope

matching, wherein you get up to 36 points for 100% good match.

Minimum 18 points recommended for match. On many occasions, couples

marry when match points are between 10-18. Another angle to this

is 'Nadi' of each person, decided by his birth Nakshatra. There are

three types of Nadis: Aadya, Madhya and Antya, corresponding to three

doshas of Ayurveda. Couples are not advised to marry if their Nadi is

same, excepting some exceptions recommended by sage 'Garg'. It

appears that this matching is to provide a good progency, or next

generation, which takes genes of both parents. Thus matching is in

reality only 'blood match' or 'gene' match, similar to one provided

by Alloptathy. There, they check blood groups of couple, when a

pregnant mother reports for checks. Compatibility of blood groups

ensures problemless pregnancy, healthy and happy child.

IN my experience of several years, I found that when couples marry,

and if they have same Nadi, one or both suffer depending on Nadi.

Thus in one nadi husband suffers, in another wife suffers and in

third both suffer by way of health. ( I suspect you belong to this group).

Vata diseases, Pitta diseases or

Kapha diseases slowly settle, even if they do not conceive a child.

The reason, being that during sex, their harmones intermingle, so

also highest dhatus: Rajas, and Veerya. One often observed problem,

in case of 'Aadya' Nadi is that wife cannot deliver normally and has

to go for C-section. A number of diseases of children can be traced

to this non-ideal or sub-optimal Nadi match. A notable recent case is referred

in Message No. 1356 to this list, where a pathologist doctor married and his

daughter suffers congenital epilepsy attacks. This marriage is with

'Nadi-dosha'. See the cruel sentence by super power for ignoring the danger

signal given by an astrologer before marriage.

I am curious to know if such indeed is the case in your marriage.

Please send me the birth nakshatras and Charana (Pada) of both of

you. Nakshatra and Charana means the moon position in the chart. In

case you do not understand this, just inform date of birth, time of

birth and place of birth for both of you, I will find out nakshatra

myself.

In case your suffering is due to nadi dosha, I will suggest

appropriate treatment.

In indian families, the parent side of the bride keeps watching

whether her health improves, whether she puts up weight, glow on the

face etc following the marriage. All these beneficial changes speak

of good marriage and tonic received through sex. Gnerally both

husband and wife improve, unless of course they start quarreling from the first

day itself.

Regards

Dr. Bhate

Dear "ss ss",

Many years ago when I was in my undergrad, I started out with the

same symptoms. Colds, indigestion, throat infections(usually 2-3

times a week for which I was prescribed tetracycline on a regular

basis by an allopath)...Ultimately I turned to yoga and ayurveda for

a cure. Sri Todd and Dr Bhate have provided some outstanding

suggestions to which I will add the following (will save you several

years of figuring out on your own).

- CHEW the food thoroughly so that it is a paste when it goes down.

This alone will save you of 90% of all digestive troubles.

- NO SEX during the detoxification period. Clearly you are severly

depleted of ojas. Unfortunately practicing celibacy for a newly wed

is pretty hard. But there is a saving grace- there is a technique

called karezza(search on the web)- this is perhaps the crudest method

in kamashastra but still highly effective; practiced correctly will

permit to have sex for hours without loss of ojas. You may also want

to check out www.pranayama.org which gives free lessons in this

(lesson is titled tantra).

- usually indulging in sex is not that lossy for females as it is for

males. The fact that both of you are suffering colds together

suggests that personal hygiene, cleanliness in the environment must

be looked into. There is a technique called liver flushing(check out

www.curezone.com) that clears the liver of all toxins.

- Dr. Bhate also correctly pointed out the significance of astrology.

I will add that astrology impels but does not compel. The role of

spiritual sadhana in averting diseases is well established. I will

recommend japa of the MahaMrityumjaya mantra during the hours 3 to 6

am (preferably 1000 times before sunrise)- this is the most

auspicious mantra for all kinds of diseases and poverty and I cannot

praise it enough. When correctly done, you should see effects within

a few days of practice.

With best wishes,

-yogaman

I was very sick for the longest time. It was time for me to find

curezone.com and Andreas Moritz, who is an Ayurvedic Practioner,

Iridologist, and a Shiastu Master, that specializes in Liver Flushing

and cleansing the colon and kidneys. He has a free forum on

www.curezone.com "Ask Andreas". He's away in Europe until March 8th,

but reading the archived posts will help anyone understand his

position.

I'm regaining my health, something I had all but given up on for

years.
