Guest guest Report post Posted October 5, 2004 Here's one quoted in Srila Prabhupada's books. In the tantras it is said: vastrenavrta-dehas tu yo narah pranamed dharim svitri bhavati mudhatma sapta janmani bhavini "Anyone who offers respects and obeisances to the Deity while wearing garments on the upper portion of his body is condemned to be a leper for seven births." >>> Ref. VedaBase => Antya 12.37 Incidentally, Srila Prabhupada himself did not observe this injunction. Here's another, cited in Pancaratra Pradipa. Drinking the bath water of Visnu is powerful enough to destroy the effects of one million sins such as the killing of other living entities. However, the person who lets even one drop of the sacred bath water fall on the ground must suffer eight million such sinful effects.
