Dated: 13-09-1992. Yesterday Sai appeared in the form of a Madhari (One who performs certain fetes and earns his livelihood) – Roadside magician. Typical is the one in which he walks over a rope balancing him with a long bamboo. Sai has shown to tread the path of life on a rope (life) and bamboo is symbolic to the quality of having faith. He assures to offer protection any time the control is lost. "I shall spread the spider like net and save you". I shall not only convince but also thrive to put you again on the rope for continued performance. As puts a check on his devotees by appearing in some form or other. He offers guidance and protects in the events of crisis. Dated: 24-09-1992. I have gone through a peculiar video sequence. It was in the early morning hours; I set out for my Office, instead of getting in to my Office Bus I wrongly boarded in to an old Bus (old Bus here is symbolic with love, affections and related Worldly affairs). The occupants were mostly my friends and relatives. I requested the driver to turn back and he in turn has advised me to get down in the midway, which I did. The bus continued it's onward journey and soon was out of site. I could cite a big building with a saffron colored flag flying atop. >From there I could see the last journey of my beloved parents. I shrieked fear-gripped and got up from my bed. I prayed to Sai and again went to sleep. I now entered the interiors of the building. It was a big School. All the students were dressed in white robes and were almost of my age. I saw the Guru coming out. He was aged around sixty years. He was stunningly attractive, also dressed in a white Kafni and white headgear. He gave me food, shelter and rest. I got up from my sleep and reminded myself of the words by SAI from the 32nd Chapter of Sai Satcharitra – " My Guru has looked towards me with love and affection and took me in to his School". In every body's life there is a turning point. Closely monitor and wait for the opportunity to continue. Dated: 25-09-1992 Last night I passed through a dream sequence, which has glown the caution lamps. I was traversing by a *Train and got down in a wayside station. I approached the cool drink shop to in order to quench my thirst. A beautiful woman standing at the counter offered me a dubious drink for a higher price. Later I could only advice her that she ought not to have done that and earn money by unfair means. She got wild and ordered her henchmen to drive me out. I was literally thrown out of the premises. I got up and walked down the platform. At a far off place a hut was sighted and an old man was calling the passers by and offering butter- milk. He offered me too with love and care .I felt no longer thirsty. I could see my beloved SAI in him. I could recall what SAI said in the 14th chapter- only two things are coming in the way of our spiritual progress i.e. the desire for woman and wealth. This goes in line with what is described in the 38th chapter where in SAI offers the grace of God to Hemadripanth in the form of buttermilk, which has contributed for his spiritual development. *Train travel- Journey through life. All the materialistic attractions are short – lived. Only God is permanent. -------------------------------- 5. SPIRITUAL GEMS FROM SAI SATCHARITRA : Due to unforeseen reasons, we are not in a position to publish Spiritual Gems from SaiSatcharitra in this issue. -- 6.QUINTESSENCE OF SRI SAIBABA'S PHILOSOPHY: (By Late Sri Bharam UmamaheswaraRao) "Shashi": shashi_31 15. Baba's method of treating sick persons with His recipes. a. Police inspector S.S.D.Nimonkar was on his way from Pune to Nimmon, where his brother's wife had given birth to a child. He stopped at Shirdi to see Sri Sai Baba. As he was leaving, Baba gave him UDHI, saying `Save the child's life'. On arrival at Nimmon, he found that the newborn child's breathing had almost stopped and the parents had lost hope. He looked for the udhi Baba had given him, but he could not find it. He took the child into his lap and prayed to Sri Sai Baba to give life to the child. Within 15 minutes, the child began to recover and became normal. It is evident by this that Baba not only cares but could foresee ailments also. Sri Sai Baba's help was also available frequently in granting children to the childless. Usually, He would give a coconut. Sometime He gave fruits. b. A devotee by the name D.S.Rasne of Mumbai had no children. He married a second time. This marriage also remained barren. One day Rasne came to Shirdi. Sri Sai Baba gave him four mangoes saying- `Take these mangoes, eat them and die'. He could not understand the symbolism in Baba's saying. Someone nearby explained to him the inner meaning of this. This was to beget a son is equivalent to dying and being replaced by another. Baba told Rasne not to eat them himself but to give them to this wife. Baba asked him to give this to his second wife, saying she would get two sons. The first was named Daulut Shah and the second one Thana Shah. c. Sapatnekar, a lawyer, who had no faith in Baba, had only one son. The boy died. He decided to go to Shirdi and see Baba and apologize to Him. Sri Sai Baba shouted at him and drove him away. About a year later, Sri Sai Baba appeared to Sapatnekar's wife in a dream and invited them both. He went to Shirdi and apologized to Baba for his past conduct. Baba turned to someone who was standing near by and told him pointing out to Sapatnekar: "This man blames Me because he thinks I killed his son, but now I am going to bring that same soul back into his wife's womb". When Sapatnekar was taking leave from Sai Baba, he gave him a coconut and asked him to tie that coconut in his wife's shawl. A year later he brought his child to Sri Sai Baba. That boy's name was D.M.Sapatnekar. He is still alive. He is aged now about 85 years and retired as Sr. District Judge and settled in Pune. His address is: Sri D.M.Sapatnekar, Retd. Sr. Dist Judge, 25- Shivaji Nagar, Pune – 411005. He used to write letters now and then to the writer of this book. If any body wants more information about his birth and other particulars, they can correspond with him. ----------------------- 7. DEVOTEES EXPERIENCES: karlapudi99 1/31/2005 11:50:07 +0530 "sairam". Where shall I start saibabas leelas? He is in all walk of my life. Every thing in my life is so critical at first instance and later by babas miracles its just piece of cake. The most recent miracle is marvelous. I got Australian visa and came here to do masters in information science, which is 1.5 yrs. After doing two semesters the government here changed the rule for applying permanent residency, and increased the points to 120 and have to study two years. So I had to change the course in between to master of computer science and have to study three more semester apart from what I previously completed the course in our university is very very tough and the fee is very high like $11000 a sem (3 months). My sister and me are working here and making the fee, as it's difficult to send from India. Now at this stage. I have one more semester to go and I heard from a friend saying that until 1 st April 2005 .if we physically stay 2 yrs and do a course of 1.5 yr extended to two yrs we can apply for residency. I am very happy hearing that. So I applied to my university to give me exit degree. So I can proceed for my residency, and by baba's grace I got it approved and now I will be applying for residency. The approval is so important for me because firstly, I am not in a position to pay huge money (fee). Secondly, I will be getting residency if I apply now else, if I apply later after next semester, they will give me temporary visa with which I have to go to regional Australia and live there for two years and then I will get residency. My entire career is going to be spoiled. Because in regional Australia there are no jobs and prosper thirdly, I can get into my career and at the same time serve people in need which is main goal of my life. Baba always tests me. He places me in tension until end, and at end he will give me very good results from all my past experiences I learned one thing very well that "YOU SHOULD HAVE DEEP FAITH AND HOPE AND PATIENCE IN SAIBABA". Hope and wish that baba helps u in all difficulties of life and you will definitely cross the river of sorrows. Have faith sai will take care of you. Om Sai Jai Jai Sai. Suneeta Australia ----------- thota 1/26/2005 15:19:17 +0530 This is one of the amazing experiences and manifestation of Lord Saibaba testifying His Omnipresence in crisis averting a great mishap of my daughter, which would have exploded the gas station here in Toronto, Canada. My daughter had taken my car keys from my pocket while I was asleep to practice driving on her own to prepare for the Driving Test next day. She had taken her friend as a co-passenger and driving safely along the road and to her curiosity had gone through The Driveway of Fast Food Restaurant McDonald in the vicinity. She took a sharp curve in the driveway and override on the curb path and could not reverse the car, as the path was too narrow and fear of hitting the car behind. She raised the accelerator, could not control the car and drove along the dividing slope path of McDonald and Gas station in between hit the tree, which stopped the car from exploding the Gas Pump, which is hardly at a distance. She was feared on the maiden incident and the property manager of the Gas Station summoned the police and passer by crowded at the incident. She was crying immensely and telephoned me narrating the Car incident. I am shocked of the incident too and unable to bear the mental trauma, Prayed Lord Sai to help from this Disaster and Police Trial Occurrence. When I reached the spot of accident, I discovered my car Steering Air Bag busted and hurt her face, which saved her life and the car, was towed aside. The Police Officer on site was interrogating me about the details of the daughter and her co-passenger who was also slightly hurt along with my daughter. My daughter had no insurance and license to drive independently without a qualified driver next to her. The Police Officer was very co-operative and enquired me what is to be done to my daughter next? He was really a docile and understanding Police Officer who himself told me not to punish and report to the police and excuse of her mistake and warn her not to do it again. Trust me who else in the Western World would pardon of such a major car accident damaging the property of Gas Station and hurting the co-passenger? It would have cost my family life to reimburse the property damages. It is only Lord Sai who has manifested in Human Form and advised me to excuse my daughter and not lodge any complaint against my daughter and regarding the damage of the property, he asked me to come again next day and would talk to the Gas Owner and see what he could do his best to save the property Damages. Promptly the Police Officer Was already there on site prior to my arrival and laughing and exactly posed like Lord Saibaba in bending posture and talked to me, Dear Don't worry everything will be all right, Trust in Him, Call Him with sincere Heart and Love, He is always there to attend your Call. My body shivered and jerked with the words of the Police Officer who is nobody but only Lord Sai who had averted this mishap and helped my family in this crisis. Devotees, Lord Sai is Omnipresent and always there when you call Him with Faith and Love and will share every burden of yours in every walk of your life. My daughter experienced the vision on the sticker of Lord Sai on the windshield. She has turned an ardent devotee of Him since that day. BHARATA'S PERSUASION IN VAIN: Bharata and Shatrughna returned Ayodhya to find the whole city of Ayodhya and palace enveloped by a strange stillness. They were told nothing of the events that had occurred in Ayodhya during the past few days. On entering the palace he hastened to his mother's palace. Kaikeyi and Manthara were overjoyed to see him. Kaikeyi told him of the recent happenings and how she had secured the throne of Ayodhya for him. Bharata and Shatrugna cried in anguish when they came to know of their father's death and Rama's banishment to forest for fourteen years. Manthara received a kick from Shatrugna when she ran cheerfully to welcome Bharata. Bharata was very angry with his mother Kaikeyi for her attitude towards his father and brother Rama. He pulled himself from his mother's affectionate hold and said bitterly, "How cruel you are! Get out of my sight. O cruel woman! Were you not my mother, I would have killed you for what you have done. How could you plot against Rama and cause my father's death. What wrong has my brother Rama done to you that you have asked for his banishment? The throne belongs to my brother Rama. He is the rightful successor and heir to the throne of Ayodhya. What made you hope that I would accept the throne "? Saying thus Bharata rushed out of his mother's palace and went straight to Kaushalya and Sumitra. He fell on their feet and wept bitterly. The two queens consoled the crying Bharata and Shatrugna. Bharata and Shatrugna performed their father's last rites. Bharata declined to be anointed as yuvaraja; instead he told all the members of the royal household, the sage Vashishtha, the courtiers and the people that he had resolved to go the forest to bring Rama, Lakshmana and Sita back. He further told them that the throne belonged to his eldest brother Rama, and he alone and none else would ascend the throne. He said, " I am confident that I shall successfully persuade Rama to return to Ayodhya and then he will crown him as our king." Hearing his confident words everyone once again was filled with a hope of Rama's return. Everyone was eager to meet his beloved Rama. So when Bharata, led by chief minister Sumantra and sage Vashishtha, set out for the forest, Shatrugna and the queens accompanied them and many people followed them to bring Rama back to Ayodhya. Ram, Lakshmana and Sita found the peace and quiet that they were seeking at Chitrakoot and were happy to stay at such a beautiful and calm place. Their hut was at the bank of a stream. Lakshmana regarded Rama and Sita as his father and mother and took care of them well. He kept watch while they were resting, and helped in every way to make their stay as comfortable and carefree as he could. Bharata, following Rama's tracks, reached Chitrakoot. As the large crowd approached Chitrakoot, it appeared as if an army was on march. The three heard the noise of coming crowd, horses and chariots, and, then, Lakshmana immediately climbed up a tree to see what sort of people were coming to disturb the peace and calm they enjoyed. Seeing the multitude of people and flag of Ayodhya he hurriedly climbed down and ran to Rama and said," It seems Bharata is coming with a huge army to do away with us so they can remove all hurdles once for all. But he will not succeed as I shall face and fight him and his whole army single hand; and, brother with your blessings I shall finish them all." Hearing Lakshmana speaking thus Rama said dispelling all his thoughts, "Lakshmana do not get excited and don't entertain any ill feeling for Bharata who is our brother and love us dearly. I am sure his intentions are quite noble. Go and welcome our younger brother Bharata." To be continued…. -------------- 9. ARTICLES FROM SAI DEVOTEES: Sankaraiah Dubagunta" sainama Is Saibaba more alive now than when He was living? "Was Baba living because He had the body, and was He dead because he left it. No1 baba is ever alive for He transends both life and death." (SriSaiSatCharitra) There is a village named Ventrapaggada in Krishna Dist of Andhra, India. There lived a pious couple by name Mr NagaBhairava Venkata Ratnam and Mrs.NagaRatnamma. They had no issues. Once she developed skin allergy, which was troubling her. At that time one Mr.PallavajjulaRamrao Headmaster who returned from Shirdi gave them Udi, Baba's photo and Locket. She applied Udi on her body. To their surprise she got complete relief from the ailemant. Now let us note Baba's words "I give what they want, so that they begin to want what I want to give" After solving their problems Baba attracted them towards him. All the three viz. Mrs. and Mr. VenkataRatnam and RamaRao gradually developed their place with Sai's blessing as a center of Sai activities. This incident took place in January'1940. i.e. 22 years after baba's Mahasamadhi. They started doing Sai Bhajans in their house. Huge crouds gathered and participated in Sai workship. Sainath in His mysterious way manifested Himself and blessed the participants. The pious couple wanted to pay a visit to Shirdi and left their village on 26.11.1940. On the way they had to stay a night at Kopparagaon Rly Station. That night Sri Venkata Ratnam garu saw a marble Samadhi in a dream. He was surprised to see the same Samadhi at Shirdi on the next day. It was a clear indication that Baba was looking after His devotees. Fortunately H.H. BVN Swamiji, founder-President of All India Sai Samaj was camping a Shirdi. Swamiji took personal interest showed them Gurusthan other places. He took them to UpasiniMaharaj of Sakori, who blessed them. That night he had a dream in which a Brahman was giving a child. That dream came true on 19-09-1941 as a female child was born. They thought of building a mandhir at their village. It was completed and inaugurated by BVN Swamy on 22.01.1942. Sacred Dhuni also started with fire brought from Shirdi Dwarakamai. On 24.04.1943 it appers that was a first mandhir of Sai the place was considered as second Shirdi. Is it not a confirmation of Baba's assurance "I shall be ever active and vigours even after leaving this earthly body." -- 10.
