Guest guest
Sai Ram Brother's and Sister's , I enjoyed so much reading the Himalayan Yatra that while discussing with my family members I heard a wonderful story about Badri Yatra from my sister, so this story I am going to share with all- The story which I am going to narrate is true story. Now as you read that Lord Badrinath temple get closed during month of Nov because of winter and heavy snow falls so this story is about Lord Badri Yatra- This fellow pilgrim happen to travel to Badri with intense devotion as he wants to have darshan of his beloved Badri but unfortunately that very day was last darshan day of Badri - he with all his physicall strength tried his utmost to reach Badri before it get closed for another six months- my fellow pilgrim with all sweat and tears when he reached the temple what did he see the mandir was closed and all Pundits with all their luggages descending and shouting at him" come next year after six months mandir is closed for this year"- My fellow pilgrim with heavy heart and ruminating about his ill fate and karma thought this is end for him, tears rolling down profusley fatigued thought let me rest for a while in this temple premises, and with folded arms crying loud for his beloved lord Oh ! how loud was the cry even the pundits and porters could hear them as they were climbing down- but their reply was climb down fast brother before it gets dark. Now the story begins as he was crying wiht his head down from nowhere a Yogi appeared with dazzling splendour and he said-" Beta (Son) Kyo rota hey ( why are you crying? ) come dont worry it will snow right now the weather will be worse so come to this corner of the temple you will get all protection" - Who told you beta the mandir will be closed for six months tomorrow morning you will have his darshan- i promise you so saying the Yogi toook a chess board and said - "let us play chess for the night and tomorrow morning you will have his darshan> this pilgrim started playing chess - pain dissapeared and he got total lost with the chess and also the beauty and charm of the Yogi mesmerised him - his play his talks just engulfed him and the play came to sudden halt with sunrise and chirping of birds and pundits coming with all paraphernalia for opening of Mandir - veda chanting music playing -Senior pundit noticed this pilgrim and came rushing to him and enquired how come he is here by himself-Fellow pilgrim wihtout hesitation started looking for his Yogi friend nowhere he could be found so Pundit wants a clear explanation from him and then he started telling him what happened last night and how is Yogi friend and him played chess all night. Dumstruck - Senior Pundit remain speechless for a while and then he said how this could happen as he is coming after six months and today is the first day first opening of Badri- Hearing this crowd gathered and then they realized that Lord Badri was with the fellow pilgrim in the form of a Yogi for past six months playing chess with him and to the fellow pilgrim it seemed for a night- Senior Pundit without any delay carried him with pomp and gaiety to the mandir door and requested him to open the mandir door and to enter the mandir first- this fellow pilgrim was later told to write his experience of Badri travel and he wrote a beautiful book . If we could hear more incidents and stories like this it realy help us to develop bhakti as there are so many stories about Himalyan yoogis and stories of great devotees - hope somone in our group bring more stories like this- Loka Samastha Sukhino Bhavanthu Soumendra
