Guest guest
Light and Love "The knowledge of the world is not real knowledge. It is relative knowledge; the knowledge of the non-real. The knowledge of the eternal Absolute is the Real knowledge. That is acquired by Dhyana. The fire of Dhyana and Yoga will reduce to ashes the sapless activities of the Manas. Immediately thereafter, the Jnana of the Real will flash; it will shine with undiminished effulgence; its Light will never go out. For those established in this Real Jnana, there is no past, there is no future; all ages are to them in the present, in the actual moment of experience." (Sathya Sai Baba. "Dhyana Vahini," p.17). This Swami's quotation is in accord with Gödel's (Godel's) Incompleteness Theorem "On Formally Undecidable Propositions." Mathematician Kurt Gödel demonstrated (1931) that within any given branch of mathematics, there would always be some propositions that could not be proven either true or false using the rules and axioms ... of that mathematical branch itself. No scientific logical systems are fully complete. Consequently, science and education are incomplete too. By Gödel's Theorem, a computer can never be as smart as a human being can because the extent of its knowledge is limited by a fixed set of axioms, whereas human's mind has unlimited chances... By this mathematical discovery one can never fully understand oneself, since human's mind, like any other closed system, can only be sure of what it knows about itself by relying on what it knows about itself. It sounds as Swami and Vedic scriptures declare that mind is incomplete without knowing the Real Self. Science, created by power of human's mind expresses the outlook of Mayaa reality what is never objective. Gödel's Theorem as proves it through mathematical truths. By Gödel’s it is impossible to establish the internal logical consistency of a very large class of deductive systems. By Swami - it is impossible to perform the same without spiritual knowledge. Gödel also showed any other system within which arithmetic can be developed, is essentially incomplete. (In other words, given any consistent set of some arithmetical axioms, there are true mathematical statements that cannot be derived from the set... Even if the axioms of arithmetic are augmented by an indefinite number of other true ones, there will always be further mathematical truths that are not formally derivable from the augmented set). By my view it so because modern science describe phenomena mathematically using the power of mind separate from power of Atmic insight. Human being is trinity of body, mind and Atma and the third quality cannot be ignored (see Reet’s compilations “Swami teaches…Sairam Website, Latest Updates). Nearly in every separate story by Swami has stressed the presence of Atma as One and the same, expression of Almighty). Gödel explained that one may construct 'The Universal Truth' machine on the basis of certain program. Whatsoever program is used it is never truly universal. He proved mathematically that 'The Universal Truth' machine cannot embody a best and final theory of mathematics ... Although this theorem proved in a rigorously mathematical way, it seems that whatsoever rational thought can never know the ultimate truth ... To understand fully the Incompleteness Theorem is practically a conversion experience and liberation from delusive mind, to be free of it. (http://home.ddc.net/ygg/etext/godel/godel3.htm, site for scientific workers). Gödel's second theorem implies that the only versions of formal number theory, which assert their own consistency, are inconsistent. Logically by Gödel human being cannot understand own mind as one cannot see own eyes without mirror. Gödel's theoretical discoveries show that there are potencies beyond of human mind. By Swami they are understandable through atmic glasses. By Swami Mayaa Reality is also as a mirror. Mayaa is an ‘useful component’ by the help of what a human being can understand own Real Self. So, as a mirror is needed for seeing own eyes, so the Mayaa is needed ‘for seeing’ own True Reality, Self. Gödel's Theorems are as additions to Swami's Teaching. It shows through science nearly the same limitations of human mind as Swami describes. Swami shows paths to overcome the mind imperfections, Gödel only describes the situation what is valid in every area of human's worldly life. When to examine Swami's Teaching more properly one can find a huge amount parallels with modern science of different topics. Swami explains different scientific and spiritual points of human's life and activity through divine story telling. It is not exactly an academic lecture; however, it gives more than academic lecture through His divine vibrations, through emotional and aesthetic experience. I am inspired to write this contribution that it seems to me science is reaching more and more closer to the spiritual truths. Swami's Teaching serves as a role of guidelines for modern science. True, that the most scientists are far for holistic outlook of science and ignore it. However, it does not mean that the truth does not exist. The truth is independent of ones points of view and of points of view of all humanity. There is another holistic scientific event. Namely, United Nations declared 2005 "The World Year of Physics" to commemorate Einstein's creative outburst. In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Albert Einstein's 'miraculous year' of 1905, (and the 50th anniversary of his death in 1955), the international conference "Physics for the Third Millennium: II" is organized in the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama, April 5-7, 2005. It's been a century since a clerk at the Swiss Patent Office, Albert Einstein, came up with a new formulation of physics: the Special Theory of Relativity. The implications of relativity are bizarre. However, Einstein's theory is not just a strange idea: it's the way the Universe works by science. By my view, it is bizarre that the spiritual essence of the Universe and spiritual laws of its existence have forgotten to add. There is a need for new physics based on 'old' one. Many standpoints of modern physics have reached near to the concepts of Swami's Teaching. The new physics would be intergrated with spiritual truths. As Gita indicates: "Whatever a fine person does, so will others do; people effect behaviour by example" (Bhagavad Gita 3:21). Swami's Teaching is one example and the new physics is another example. Together they are more powerful for spiritual growth of humanity when the new physics will find the right path through its theoretical calculations and experiences to spiritual basis of Creation. At conference "Physics for the Third Millennium" Nobel laureates and leading scientists will talk to the public about the overwhelming frontiers of modern physics. Einstein understood that light must be a particle as well as a wave, that neither space nor time is immutable, that matter can explode into energy. Albert Einstein suggested that the Universe filled with waves from space. Colliding black holes, spinning compact celestial objects create ripples in the fabric of space and time that subtly distort the world around us. These gravitational waves have eluded scientists for nearly a century. (Einstein predicted the existence of gravitational waves in his general theory of relativity, but only now in the 21st Century has technology advanced for scientists to detect and study them. Although gravitational waves have not yet been detected directly, their influence on has been measured accurately, and was found to be in good agreement with original predictions. Joseph Taylor and Russell Hulse shared the 1993 Nobel Prize in Physics for their studies in this field). Some scientists suggest that the Universe is filled also with sound waves. By Swami and Vedas it is primordial sound 'Om' what is one of basic impulse of Creation. Lectures will explore cutting-edge topics as the nature of dark energy, antimatter-matter interactions, quantum mechanics and the formation of black holes. Among the speakers are two Nobel Laureates: Leon Lederman, who was awarded the Nobel Prize for his work on neutrinos, and Riccardo Giacconi, whose contributions in astrophysics led to the discovery of cosmic X-ray sources. Physicist Lawrence Krauss, will be the speaker about "Einstein's Biggest Blunder, A Cosmic Mystery Story." The lectures also include the testing quantum interpretations, history of antimatter and unsolved problems with it, general relativity in practice on Hubble telescope scales. The top scientists have found that today’s physics is limited in what it can do. There is a need for new physics. There are so many open questions in physics, and so many tantalizing clues. One of the main topics for discussion, as mentioned above, is gravitational waves. Gravitational waves are ripples in the fabric of space and time produced by events in our galaxy and throughout Universe. These ripples in the space-time fabric travel toward Earth, bringing with them information about their origins, as well as invaluable clues to the nature of gravity. In the light of Swami's Teaching and Vedas gravitational waves is the consequent proof that the Universe is one entity, the Atma and all large and tiny objects and creations including space and time are in it. These waves as neutrinos penetrate all the area of creation as one entity, they are as couriers of the Atma, what is the Principle of unlimited potencies, Almighty, God.
