Sairam,

 

I have never been to Parthy but i am sure some time in the future Baba will

surely give me a chance to see him LIVE !!

 

I watch his programms on Sanskaar channel regularly and I just love the Charisma

on his face....I have seen in that a lot of devotees give him letters ....May be

in that they write about their love for baba, their problems etc.....

 

Even I want to write a letter to him but i don know where to send it !!!!

 

One of my Sai  brother also suggested that I write to  SAI  about all that i

have to tell him.....and i liked the suggestion !

 

I was wondering if any one of U cud help me/guide me on where to send this letter....(the address)

 

I shall be ever grateful to U if u cud help...

I read your e-mail with great delight. I had the

opportunity in giving Swami letters personally when I

was in India. He took it most graciously and I loved

the moment when the letter exchanged hands. Now ever

since I have been staying in the USA, the opportunity

of giving letters personally has stopped. But I write

With Swami there is no postal service - you will better understand this when you

visit Parthy - that Swami walk on earth but operates everywhere at all times.

 

To you I will suggest that you write all that you want to Him and seal the cover

and put that on your prayer alter. I recall Swami telling a devotee that He

receives every letter as it is written and that there was no need to hand them

over to Him, but He still receives physically to just please us and make us

happy.

letter that results will come from Swami.  We are negative and he is positive

and when our agony meets his Grace results flow.

you have expressed your desire to write to

swami.please do write to swami.swami answers our

prayers when we pray to him with all fervour from the

depth of our hearts but swami does mention that we

need to express ourselves thro our letters when we

earnestly feel like as it signifies the synchrony of

thought,word and deed.

Swami does also mention that he receives the

original copy as soon as you start writing the

letter..what we send is the xerox copy.

swami answers our prayers before we could actually

post the letter.

he gives us the delight but asking us to write the

letter and also answering yhe prayers..it is lords

leela...he does everything and makes us feel good

it is like a sweet pat from a beloved mother.

i used to sometimes wonder why the lord wants

us to write despite his all knowing, all pervading

nature.... if that is the case why should we all crave

for the blissful darshan of swami in his orange

robe....cant we do that by just closing our eyes but

can it replace the bliss of his darshan...like wise

we do need to write to swami although it is his

will.....that is when we express ourselves totally and

it is a real form of surrender.

Dear Shweta,

regarding your wish to write to Sai Baba, I would like to tell you how I

feel about it.

Especially if you are still a fairly new devotee, then you feel that you

want to convey your feelings , desires and problems to Swami . You have not

yet quite understood that He is all-knowing. You are reaching out to Him and

He responds. It is like His saying "You make one step towards Me and I will

make a Hundred towards you." When you write, you wholly concentrate on Him

and you go deep into your own soul to convey to Him your feelings. It is not

a superficial talk, but a deep prayer, and that He hears and responds.

I used to write almost every week in the beginning, so much so, that once He

came into my dream. I told Him in the dream that I had seen my mother (who

had passed away many years agao) amongst the devotees. I told this to Swami

(in my dream) and He said, "Yes, I know, she has written 50 letters to me".

Actually He wanted to tell me, that I had written 50 letters to Him. - On

another occasion He told me during an interview that He knows my

handwriting.

So, writing a letter to Swami from the bottom of your heart is really a good

thing and it gives you a lot of satisfaction and you will see His response.

sairam brothers and sisters,

i would like to share some more thoughts

regarding writing letters to swami.

it was in 1997 that i entered swamis fold.i

wanted to persue my career in psychiatry or anasthesia

but as i was not a good academician in college i

lacked confidence totally...i was disillusioned.

then came the lord..i took my younger brother to sai

bhajans as he was in bala vikas and slowly i felt that

swami was calling me to parthi...i slowly started to

play mirudangam in bhajans and started enjoying

singing bhajans....

my brother was the messenger sent by swami to make

me enter his divine fold( we were not sai devotees

then as a family)...( when i was in school, i remember

once protesting to my tamil teacher who was an

athiest,talking wrong things about swami...)

istarted off to parthi with one of my close

friend.he was not a fervent sai devotee then but it

was gods plan.

when i had the first darshan of swami i felt he was

my saviour.

i longed for the first or second row to have a

close darshan..it did not happen...i felt very

depressed...

i even told my friend whether there was any way i

could meet swami personally( i was over

ambitious)......i remember my friend telling me that

swami was not an MLA or MP to be influenced..he said

this wittingly.

the night before the last darshan, iwrote a brief

letter to swami from the depth of my heart after my

friend slept and cried badly...i did not want my

friend to know that i was crying...

the next day morning i got the second row and my

friend got the first...he even asked me if we could

swap places..but i said if thats sais will let it

be(the first step towards surrender)

swami came...it was my last darshan..i had to give

the prayer to swami....will swami take my letter?

SWAMI TOOK MY LETTER AS THE LAST LETTER FOR THE

DARSHAN WITH A SHARP LOOK INTO MY EYES...THE LOOK HAD

COMPASSION,ANGER,LOVE,AFFECTION,WARMTH AND WHAT

NOT.....ALL THESE PUT IN ONE SHARP LOOK....

I GATHERED THAT THE LOOK IMPLIED ...I KNOW YOU MAN

FOR MANY THOUSAND YEARS EVEN BEFORE YOU KNEW ME...I

WANTED A SIMPLE ACT OF SURRENDER FROM YOU AND SO I

TESTED YOU...

since that day in 1997 i have been enjoying swamis

presence every day in my life.

i did my DPM and now iam working as a trainee in

psychiatry in essex,uk.my friend who i have mentioned

is doing his surgery training and we are just half an

hour away by bus...

the road from disillusion to recovery because of

the lords mercy..

AS A PSYCHIATRIST I UNDERSTAND THAT WHEN WE WRITE

A LETTER TO SWAMI AND CRY FOR HIS DIVINE INTERVENTION,

SWAMI TAKES FULL CHARGE OF OUR SUFFERINGS AND MAKES US

FEEL LIGHTER....WITH TEARS, OUR EGO,WHICH IS A MAJOR

IMPEDIMENT TO SPIRITUAL PROGRESS, DISSOLVES AND WE

FIND OUR UNION WITH SWAMI...WHEN WE IDENTIFY OURSELVES

WITH SWAMI,COMES DETACHMENT WHICH SWAMI WANTS FROM US

EVERY DAY...WHEN WE DETACH WE ARE NO LONGER TROUBLED

BY PLEASURE OR PAIN AS THE LORD TAKES OVER AND WE ARE

BLESSED TO BE ABLE TO TREAT PLEASURE AND PAIN

EQUALLY....FINALLY NO WORRIES AT ALL AS WE ARE IN A

STATE OF BLISS..

IT IS VITAL FOR US TO EARNESTLY WRITE TO SWAMI WHAT

WE WANT,HOW WE WOULD LIKE TO CHANGE IN LIFE AND THE

LORD WILL LOOK INTO IT,AS IT IS SOAKED IN SINCERITY.

THE LORD WILL ANSWER OUR PRAYERS AND CHANGE THINGS

AT WILL AND FOR THAT KARMA WHICH MIGHT HAVE TO BE

ENDURED,THE LORD WILL GIVE US ABSOLUTE STRENGTH TO

FIGHT IT.

I PERSONALLY HAVE NOT FULFILLED SOME PROMISES

WHICH I GAVE TO SWAMI IN THE HEAT OF THE MOMENT IN

1997... NOW I FEEL THAT I HAVE NOT BEEN CHEATING SWAMI

BUT MYSELF..

AS TAGORE SAID WHERE TIRELESS STRIVING STRETCHES ITS

ARMS TOWARDS PERFECTION...IF WE WANT TO CHANGE OUR

LORD WILL GUIDE US...NOW I UNDERSTAND THAT I SHOULD

NOT MAKE ANY PROMISES IN THE LETTERS WHICH I CANT KEEP

TO FINISH IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP WRITING TO SWAMI

OUR EARNEST DESIRES,WISHES,LONGINGS,GUILT AND

REPENTENCE..TO TREAT HIM AS A TRUE FRIEND...THE LORD

IS MATCHLESS IN HIS FRIENDSHIP...HE IS THE UNIVERSAL

PSYCHIATRIST..HE ALWAYS LISTENS.
