Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, I wanted to let you know that my heart is full this morning, for last night we held our first satsang. It was small, just 6 people, and we watched one of the movies that the Santa Fe Ashram provided. I have some homework because the other main person involved in coordinating this with me is sure there are more Amma devotees here, but we need a way to reach out to them. So I will have to contact San Ramone to see if I can use Amma's image on a flier, inviting people to the satsang. The energy was so amazing, charged with sweetness and peace. At the end I did a short arati. I think the people are amazed that I know any of this, and I know so little, but it is a start. And one person did express interest in singing, so I am hoping, as we evolve, we can begin to include devotional activities. I also want to offer special thanks to Fe for also sending videos the group can watch. I play guitar, and sing (although my illness has made me sound a bit like a frog, but in Amma's name, no matter. As She said in the movie we watched last night, "It is the attitude that counts." So I am hoping to learn some of the English Bhajans from the Santa Fe series because I think this would be the easiest way for the group to begin. If anyone involved in a more developed satsang can offer any other simple ways to begin including devotional activities (the list sent by the southwest coordinator, I think, would overwhelm the group), I would much appreciate it .... as well as your prayers that our little satsang continue and grow. In great joy ~ Linda
