Sat Nam everyone,

I wanted to start using Alum (power?) to brush my

teeth. I wanted to know if you just use the Alum

straight or do you have to mix it with salt?

I have been drinking a lot of tea and the tea is

beginning to stain my teeth, does Alum act as a tooth

whitener?

I not sure what the other use of Alum are, if any can

help I would appreciate it very much.

Peace Love and All Light,

Sat Nam Sadhana Seva,

I am glad you like your teeth, and your gums and heart health enough to

make this move from the peppy, candy flavored toothpastes that most of us

grew up with.

Yogiji has shared with us this ayurvedic formula, 2 parts alum and 1 part

salt. It has tremendous benefits - healing gum disease, cankers sores, acute

tooth infections, resolving sinus head aches, clearing sinus cavities,

keeping your gums healthy and clean and shining. Such are the testimonies

from all over the world. Its one of the most profound formulas for healing

gum disease and overall maintenance for your teeth. There is product like

this on the market. It is not taste bud friendly. You will pucker.

Just do not swallow. Gag it out. The gagging is what clears the sinuses. Gag

'til your tear from the eyes. That's when you know you done it right.

Question: where did you acquire your's?????

Hi Dharam. I was wondering where can you buy Alum? Would they sell it at Whole

Foods?

Sat Nam Joanne from Norwood,

I had meant to post the link to the flyer in our "Files" area (

Kundaliniyoga ). It is

http://f4.grp.fs.com/v1/8FkIREFk9p3b43KJzmQp8Z9pEMyPwvHFP9-jvoNqoxBjIYrvlJ2\

OsPzYhFXjqwWB8Y9413ZAeud9eU7xQA/Alum--%2B--Potassuim_Alum_Flyer.doc

or try http://tinyurl.com/py5qn

This powder can also be purchased in India. Karta Purkh Singh (Kansas

City) has a story of finding a rock of it in Amritsar.

If you do find it elsewhere, make sure it is actually Potassium Alum

and not Alum Aluminate or some other Alum.

Sat Nam everyone,

Dharma thank you for responding. The Alum I am

purchased is Alum Root or Cranssbill. I hope this is

the right kind of Alum, it is a dark beige in color.

I purchased it at Penn Herb, the store is located in

Philadelphia, they do have a web site www.PennHerb.com

and they also have mail order and a toll free number

you can call. I paid 3.45 for 1oz. Their prices are

fairly good too. Their oils are really nice. I checked

out the web-site and they had some of the other uses

for Alum (I found them out after I sent the email).

You are so right when you wrote "it is not taste bud

friendly".
