Kundalini side effects

I have been practicing KY regularly for a little over a year. About 2 months

ago I had a period of 3 weeks where I would get very light headed and sort of

black out almost every time I stood up. I had tests done for blood sugar,

etc. Everything totally normal. These symptoms stopped for awhile and now

have started again in the past few days. I've read somewhere about some

possible side effects of opening up and accessing this energy. I'm wondering

if this could be related to these symptoms. I'm hoping to get some feedback

on this. Thanks so much.

Are you locking your chin? Make sure that you apply

jalandhara bhanda (neck lock) which regulates the shift in blood pressure. It is

not too unusual to feel lightheaded when standing up after

sitting for a while. Do so slowly. Another thing is something related to Prana -

Apana balance. Too wordy for me to cover right now especially

since I have yet to master the issue myself. How do you feel after these little

episodes?? At any rate, I wouldn't worry. Integrations between

head and body will always challenge your limits and understanding.

Sounds to me like your energy is rising and you are not staying present in

your body. You can be mentally in your head or out of your body. You stay

in your body by feeling the sensations in your body. I sent an email with

specific instructions on how to do this Monday. Practice these staying

present techniques and see if this changes.

About nearly blacking out when you stand up quickly. I get this problem off

and on. It took me many years to find out what was happening. In my case it

was due to a weakness in the adrenal glands which can become weakened by

stress. There is a meditation for the adrenal glands in the book "Yoga for

Health and Healing". It positively works. It is difficult but you can build

up to it. Other kriyas which help the adrenal glands are often related to

the kidneys because the adrenal glands are on top of the kidneys. Let me
