Guest guest Posted December 8, 2000 Report Posted December 8, 2000 Hi Steve, > Can someone tell me what Jai Guru Deva means? Jay Gurudeva or Jaya Gurudeva means "Hail the true Guru" or "Glory to the true Guru". It is a Sanskrit salutation to the Guru principle - "that which takes one from darkness to light". You will find this salutation in many Sanskrit hymns and fast chants. Jaya Gurudeva! Satsang Kaur Quote
