Hi Siobhan, and here is wishing a wonderful Springtime for you and yours. I grew

up in a "Suburb" of Dublin

known as "Da-Bronx"(south) For me and those ive grown up with, St.Patricks day

has always been the

beginning of Springtime, and an end to the Winter. The transition from Pisces to

Aries. A time to recognize

and feel, and indeed Live the Awakening experience of The Re-birth of the land,

and indeed, our own

awareness as beings:-) This year, at the time of the Parade in Noo-Yawk it was

snowing, whilst I was

putting in tomato plants here in Texas. Suredly by "Faith", and something called

"Begorrah", Kundalini must

be alive and well in Old Ireland as it is throughout the known Universe. Who

would have it be any other

way???:-)

Mike(in Texas:-)

In the words of the Great Guru Of Da-Bronx...

"When I come to a fork in the road, I take it!"...Yogi Berra.

It is known that prozac, zoloft, paxill, etc can cause sexual dysfunction,,

If you try St john's wart or SAM E , consult a knowlegable naturopath or

at least alternative health consultant from a store other other than GNC

for dosage , etc

Homeopathy could possibly also help

Is your depression considered clinical or a less severe dysthymia ?

it also takes some time for the effects of prozac to completely leave the

body

are there any Ky classes in your area, besides your own practice?

Hi Wendy,

There is a little light in Wisconsin. I live north of you in Sheboygan. The

nearest certified teachers are in Chicago (S.S. Shiva Singh and Shabad Kaur

Khalsa http://www.kundaliniyoga.com/ ) . I have had extensive training

in KY for about a year at an ashram in Boulder, Colorado in 1980. I have

also been studying and practicing on my own for the last two years along

with the support of this list. I would be happy to teach if there was a

group of people who were interested. If I can be of any help feel free to

ask. bkilton

Sat Nam, Wendy and Brian,

I live in Madison. I completed a month-long teacher training course in 1972,

but I don't know whether I was ever "certified." I have

never taught to any extent and have not kept up my certification, but I resumed

practicing KY ala YB about six years ago. I believe

there are KY teachers with 3HO training in Madison teaching at the University

Hospital and St. Mary's hospital. I don't know whether

they are still officially affiliated with 3HO. There may be some at UWM or some

of the hospitals with wellness programs in Milwaukee.

This is a big question that could take a book to answer. I suggest that you

start practicing KY with my book Relax and Renew available on

www.yogatech.com. I feel confident you will get your answers. Have you read

my lessons available at www.kundaliniyoga.org. Also reading the answers to

questions on this list will illustrate how people use KY to address specific

issue.

Any KY sets and meditations will facilitate transformation. The specific

uses are listed in my books.

In the meantime were there any case of

I do not know.

I am a counselor who was trained at MSU in Starkville

MS. One of our most outstanding professors, Dr. Young,

teaches how to use Spirituality in Counseling. May I

suggest that you contact him. He is very nice and I

think would answer your question. He will soon be a

Reiki Master. Go to Mississippi State University web

site and search under College of Education Counselor

Education. He was an inspirational teacher and taught

us how to use techniques in counseling setting

appropriately.

Have a wonderful day,

Hi JoAnne,

Where in the Bay Area are you? There is a wonderful kundalini yoga class I found

last week in Berkeley. Not only was the instruction sound and

comforting, but the atmosphere of the center was gentle and inviting. Such

aspects are important for me, for I know no one there. I send you

positive thoughts!

My friend Rachael says "pack your bags and move!"

42 centigrade is 108 Fahrenheit. That's way too hot. I have friends Amritsar who

would put a block of ice in their water tank just so they could

take a proper cold shower (Ishnaan).

Get a fan and do your routine when it is more reasonable.

Sitali pranayam (inhale threw curled tongue, exhale through nose) is supposed to

be cooling but that is not a workout.

I am a kapha type and can flow with heat pretty well (I even forget about) I

suspect you aren't so you may want to find an Ayurvedic physician

and work with this from that approach but 108/42 degrees is extremely hot. I've

done Bikram at 109 and have to work to keep from fainting. Go easy

for a while

Sat Nam Shagufta,

Go to kundaliniyog.org, find the 'Basic Spinal Series' or a Navel set,

begin doing

this EVERY morning habitually. Also begin doing Kirtan Kriya, also on

kundalininyoga.org, morning OR night, just start on sadhana and stay with it.

Then

you will notice changes.

Your english is good, where are you living?

"in its power i'm a very coward type girl &gets nervous rapidally" - you are

projecting a false image. You manifest what you think. Try affirming who you

really are, I do very last thing after sadhana, say it outloud, what you want or

who you are.

If you project weak or coward that's what you'll be, if you project strength and

beauty you'll be that too.

"can't effod expensive psyciatrist or nuerologist" - You don't need that, the KY

will

do it for you. Stay on a sadhana without changing it, for 40 days and see how

you feel.

Blessings

Wow! That sounds so incredible. I have heard that we can liberated our

generations when we do kundalini yoga and the deceased ones need the energy a

lot. The light that you are creating around you must be so healing to

everyone even if they don't seem receptive.keep up!

Thank for sharing

Thank you for all the responses. It helped me a lot. Now I am involved in

Will you please give some advice about on how to improve eye sight. According to

astigmatism. Is there a mantra or exercises that will improve my eye sight.

I am no expert, but I believe that, yes, Kundalini can/will/does catapult one

into a new level of experience. Feeling frustrated and "pregnant" (I loved

that image) myself with a head full of ideas, but connecting with nothing or no

one, I first found sitting meditation through a Shambalha center. While I

attribute this discipline with a quieting of mind and spirit that helped me

tremendously, it was not until I stumbled onto KY, and my generous and gracious

teachers, that things really began to happen. Immediately. Troubling doubts

and numbing ambivalence gave way to clarity of thought and the ability to act.

Then, after a few short months, I noticed that a life long tendency towards

debilitating depression was simply gone. I will be a practitioner for the rest

of my life; working on mind, body and spirit with a deep appreciation for this

ancient and flawless wisdom and the generosity of those who welcome all

I, too have come from a Christian Background and have not had much in the way

of spiritual experiences before I was initiated to Reiki. After that, I had

loads and loads of them, and now I use Kundalini Yoga to keep me clear minded

and clear emotional debris from my body.

I believe nothing happens by coincidence (try reading The Cellestine Prophecy

- and adventure by James Redfield), and you were definitely guided to

Kundalini Yoga.
