Guest guest
This list seems very quiet. Or am I not getting my mail again? Does anyone here know about Ganesha's role in Tibetan Buddhism? I've seen him being stomped on by Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom. Why he do that to my Ganesh, huh? :-) -- Len/ Kalipadma ______________ The best thing to hit the Internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! Surf the Web up to FIVE TIMES FASTER! Guest guest
only message I can interpret is that Ganesh represents an outside god and most buddhism teaches the lack of a god and that all is found within ones self. To a buddhist Ganesh may seem like a crutch or an outside support or attachment. This view I think is very hippocritacle concidering how many Boddhisatvas and shaktis are represented in the Tibetan Buddhist sect. I dont know if its a fact but Ive heard that some Japanese Zen Buddhist worship Ganesh. It really suprises me to hear about Buddhist bad mouthing any other religion be it through words or pictures. It troubles me because I am a big believer in the Buddhist teachings but I also love Ganesh and consider him to be the supreme ideal of buddha hood. Ill have to research this further.
