rejecting the known

The end of misery is to determine its source and to eliminate the source. All

misery begins with attachment (either to things or ideas), to end attachment, is

to end misery. In the end, you are and always will be what you were in the

beginning. It is said that the true Self does not change (immutable), only the

apparent self undergoes change and suffering. You do not remember what you were

before a certain age, and you do not know what you will be, all you know is

now... and even "now" is only a memory or a thought. Both the past and the

future being intangible and of the nature of memory (or a dream), how can "now"

be anything different? The Truth of who you are is un-knowable by the senses or

the mind, and therefore not subject to 'experience'. The Truth may only be

inferred to exist by rejecting what is known and remaining in that state of not

knowing (which in itself is knowledge, so even that must be rejected). By

rejecting the known, what remains?
