Arunachal Pradesh is the dawn of India as it receives the first rays of the Sun

falling on Bharat. It is a strategically placed state as it shares it borders

with China, Bhutan & Myanmar. The state faces many challenges namely

urbanization, deculturization, prostelytization by missionaries, insurgency in

neighboring states etc. If these challenges are not met effectively the peace

of Arunachal would be disturbed.

 

Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari a spiritually oriented service organization has

since 1977 started 19 Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalas or schools in the State and

have earned a name for imparting character building education with a national

perspective. Their focus is on education, health, youth & women awareness and

preservation of culture. In addition the Kendra runs the Vivekananda Rock

Memorial & school at Kanyakumari and schools in Assam, Port Blair etc.

 

You can support the Kendra's activities in three ways. One is by Sponsoring the

education of a Arunachalee student by contributing Rs 8,000/ per year or the

Training of a Social Worker by contributing Rs 20,000/ per year or a general

donation. All donations to the Kendra may be sent by cheque/DD in favor of

"Vivekananda Kendra". The envelope may be addressed to The General Secretary,

Vivekananda Kendra, Vivekanandapuram, Kanyakumari 629702, Tamil Nadu, India.
