Guest guest
Dear Sangeeta, If you wish to know more about all these subjects the you must access our websites listed below, esp. the 1st one & look for books on Bhartrihari, Panini & Patanjali. We are also publishing a new book on Bhartrihari which will be a collection of papers from one of the conferences on Bhartrihari we'd organised in December 2003. On Panini you need to consult the books of George Cardona. If you could let me know your location we could also let you know from where you'd pick up such kind of books. Dear Prof. Torella, Thank you for the information. I am glad to know someone is working presisely on this subject. Would it be possible for you to share with me some of your ideas on this subject?. What I need is a short comparison of Saussure with Patanjali, Bhartrhari or Panini. and what are the similarities and differences. Are there any published sources on this subject. Alternatively may I request you to inform me something on this topic? What I can say right know is that, apart from mere speculation or speculative fancies, a special attention is being devoted first of all to identifying which Indian texts were available to S. and which of them were demonstrably studied by him. Our student will have access to his library at the Saussure foundation in Geneva. The most recent contribution (useful but certainly not an outstanding one) to this very interesting issue is: F. Atlani-Voisin "Le don de l'Inde", Cahier de l'Herne, 2003.
