To my dear spiritual companions,

 

PASCHIMOTTASAN:-

 

this is an extremely effective & beneficial asan for sadhaks.

 

by the practice of this asan the spine becomes flexible, body becomes supple, &

the stiffness of the lumber region is considerably reduced.

 

it also cures the ailments of gout, sciatica , nocturnal emissions, piles, & bad cold etc.

 

the union of pran & apan facilitates the flow of vital energy through the susmna nadi.

 

it also affects the solar plexus & bring it to proper place thereby removing the

stomach problems of diarrhea & constipation.

 

it also leads to rise in kundalini shakti.

 

since the abdominal region gets pressed the functional capability of the glands is well toned up.

 

it also leads to attainments of siddhis.

 

it facilitates the spiritual development.

 

it makes the spine flexible without any problems of slip disc or backache.

 

 

TECHNIQUE:-

 

sit on the asan joining the heels & toes together stretch the legs forward.

also stretch the back upward.inhaling raise the hands up towards the

sky.exhaling start bending forward from the lower part of the waist till the

forehead touches the knees.now rest it on the knee & catch hold of the toes

with the hands.normalizing breath & pulling the toes place the elbows on the

ground.stretching the back & forehead forward.stay in this pose according to

the capacity.keep the hands behind the waist & keeping the feet apart but relax

completely.

 

POINT OF CONCENTRATION:- MANIPUR CHAKRA.

 

NOTE:- knees should not bend in this asan, heart patents,blood pressure

patients,persons having backache should not do this asan.can do from 5 rounds

to 20 rounds.
